December 2013 to present - Senior Public Health Officer, Taita-Taveta County with Ministry of health.
Current responsibilities include:-
• Incharge of food quality control services in the county.
• Incharge of occupational health and safety in the county.
• County public health court prosecutor.
• Community health specialist.
June 2009 to 2013 - District Public health officer, Athi-River District Machakos County.
Responsibilities included:-
• Overall incharge of all the public health staff administratively in the district.
• Planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of public health services in the district.
• Collaborating with other sectors including line ministries, private sector, Non-governmental organizations.
• Co-ordinating operations and response functions between the district health office and the provincial and national headquarters.
• Co-ordinating HIV/AIDS activities with Constituency Aids Control Committee, groups.
Initiating and co=ordinating health intervention programs such as:- Community Food and nutrition improvement, Community reproductive health services, WASH, Integrated vector management, Community strategy, Disaster relief operations
September 2007 to 2009 - District Public health officer, Malindi district.
February 2003 to 2007 - Divisional Public health officer Incharge, Athi-River division & Co-ordinator for HIV/AIDS Kathiani Constituency.
February 2002 to 2003 - Divisional Public health officer - Central division in Machakos
district, PHO Incharge food quality control in Machakos district.
August 1995 to 2002 - Port health officer at Kilindini port in Mombasa, Kenya.
2000 to 2001 - Higher diploma in Environmental Health-Food science and inspection. Kenya Medical Training College, Nairobi.
