The S-Chem is a joint venture of Saudi Chevron Phillips (SCP), Jubail Chevron Phillips (JCP) and Saudi Polymers Co (SPCo) with Chevron Phillips Chemical Co, Texas. SPCo has two trains of Polystyrene, two trains of Polyethylene (LLDPE & HDPE) and one train of Polypropylene (PP). Plants using the Chevron Phillips Chemical Company (CP Chem) technology, Spheripol process are able to produce a wide range of Polymer. The plant produces 100 KTA (each train) of General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) and High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS), also 550 KTA Polypropylene and 600 KTA Polyethylene (each train).
●As a Senior Process Operator, Handled normal operation, start-up and shutdown activity of Additives and Catalyst preparation, TEAL system handling, Exothermic Polymerization (Loop) Reactors, High Pressure & Low Pressure Recovery, Pelletizing (Extruder) section in PP/PE Plant.
●Successfully handled any emergencies from DCS (Emerson Delta-V 10.1 version) and Field like power failure, power dip, raw materials failure and utility failure.
●Followed Permit and LTT (Lock, Tag and Try) procedure as per HSE policy during routine activities.
●Facilitated inter discipline coordination for monitoring the product characteristic using sampling, monitoring and continuous communication with Field operators and Shift Leader.

Jamnagar Export Refinery Project (JERP) associated with the Polypropylene Plant having two trains of capacity 450 K tones/ annum each (Total 900 KTA). The plant has UNIPOL, Gas phase polymerization process from Union carbide (UCC - Daw) Unipol technology.
●As an Executive, Handled daily DCS (Foxboro) panel operation (extruder section) for two trains (lines 1 & 2).
●Prepared daily shift reports, maintenance requirements and follow-up, compliance of work permit.
●Implemented corrective action through DCS based on lab analysis.
●Handled normal start-up and shutdown activity of the plant including major annual turnarounds.
●Successfully handled emergencies like power failure, power dip and utility failure for ZSK- 380 Extruder.

Involved in pre-commissioning, commissioning and DCS (Emerson Delta-V 10.1 version) panel operation with Reaction, Recovery section and Extruder section for Homo-polymer, Random copolymer and High Impact copolymer.
Operation, monitoring and controlling of reaction unit (PP loop reactor), Propylene Purification, Ethylene Purification, Vent Gas Recovery (Low pressure and High pressure) unit, Catalyst and Teal system.
Handling of Ethylene in Gas phase Reactor for made Random copolymer, Online Grade changeover of Product, Screen pack, Pumps, Blowers and silos changeover through DCS.
Handling of all utility such as Sea water, Cooling water, Fire water network, Polish water, Waste water, Air compressor, Steam letdown unit, Hydrogen generation unit, including Storage facility for feed, finished products and utilities and Propane, Ethylene, sales gas and Nitrogen metering skids etc..

Assigned the Line D (new project) as Extruder Specialist and involved in erection, pre-commissioning and commissioning activity, and subsequently regular plant operation from DCS.
