The S-Chem is a joint venture of Saudi Chevron Phillips (SCP), Jubail Chevron Phillips (JCP) and Saudi Polymers Co (SPCo) with Chevron Phillips Chemical Co, Texas. SPCo has two trains of Polystyrene, two trains of Polyethylene (LLDPE & HDPE) and one train of Polypropylene (PP). Plants using the Chevron Phillips Chemical Company (CP Chem) technology, Spheripol process are able to produce a wide range of Polymer. The plant produces 100 KTA (each train) of General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) and High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS), also 550 KTA Polypropylene and 600 KTA Polyethylene (each train).
●As a Senior Process Operator, Handled normal operation, start-up and shutdown activity of Additives and Catalyst preparation, TEAL system handling, Exothermic Polymerization (Loop) Reactors, High Pressure & Low Pressure Recovery, Pelletizing (Extruder) section in PP/PE Plant.
●Successfully handled any emergencies from DCS (Emerson Delta-V 10.1 version) and Field like power failure, power dip, raw materials failure and utility failure.
●Followed Permit and LTT (Lock, Tag and Try) procedure as per HSE policy during routine activities.

Involved in pre-commissioning, commissioning and DCS (Emerson Delta-V 10.1 version) panel operation with Reaction, Recovery section and Extruder section for Homo-polymer, Random copolymer and High Impact copolymer.
Operation, monitoring and controlling of reaction unit (PP loop reactor), Propylene Purification, Ethylene Purification, Vent Gas Recovery (Low pressure and High pressure) unit, Catalyst and Teal system.
Handling of Ethylene in Gas phase Reactor for made Random copolymer, Online Grade changeover of Product, Screen pack, Pumps, Blowers and silos changeover through DCS.
