• Ensure compliance of all legal safety rules & regulation and implementation of various Acts.
• Identifying standard, requirements and implement best safety practices at respective site.
• Advice and assist to Management in the fulfillment of its obligation statutory prevention of personal injuries and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Participate, evaluate and compliances of inter location audit, OSHAS 18001 audit, third party safety audit, fire audit, SMS audit.
• Design & conduct various safety training program for contract workmen for the prevention of personal injuries & safety awareness.
• Planning and coordinating safety awareness activities like celebration of National Safety Day and other programme. Train people to adopt safety practices.
• Participate in HAZOP and critical process review for processes and evaluate department high-risk activity to control hazard.
• Participation to investigate the accident / incident, near miss with actual root cause to eliminate future recurrence through CAPA implementation.
• Tracking of safety jobs identified in audit, inspections or observation.
• Effective implementation of SMS rating system (evaluation, gap discussion, coordinate with each department).
• Exposure/Experience in regulatory environment.

Key Deliverables:
•Promoting positive Health and Safety Culture.
•Overseeing the development of adequate risk assessment.
•Monitoring health and safety performance.
•Overseeing accident reporting and investigations.
•Ensure that the key process owners are trained in safety procedures so that they can impart the same to their respective departments
•Oversee all functions related to HSE and keep it up to date with local laws and JBF RAK LLC Policies
•Attend review meetings with HSE Manager and represent HSE department
•Report departmental activities and Key Performance Indicators to the COO
•Implementation and compliance with Safe Work Practices
•Investigate accidents in accordance with defined safety procedures
•Creating analytical reports of safety data
•Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
•To conduct Mock Drill-Fire and Radiation Leakage as per HSE manual and Radiation Protection Programme.
•Daily, Weekly & Quarterly monitoring of Noise level, Illumination level, Heat Stress & Gas.
•Maintains Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on chemicals used in the workplace. Monitoring the use, storage and disposal of hazardous chemicals and materials.
•To monitor emergency preparedness and initiate emergency response, assisting in rescue and evacuation drills
(Reporting to Sr VP-EHS)
Key Deliverables:
•Conducting the Internal & External Safety Audit, Plant Safety Inspection and reviewing the status report.
•Investigation, analysis and maintaining records for the accidents / Incidents / Near miss and their reporting and issuing of work permit systems.
•Organize and conduct the Safety Training Program, Works Safety Committee meeting, and preparations of minutes and follow up with the concerned departments for implementation of the recommendation.
•Conducting the Mock Drills and preparation of reports.
•Ensuring the effectiveness of safety & firefighting equipment’s at site.
•To review in the plants, the conditions of ventilation, illumination, and suggest improvements as required.
•To ensure pest control is carried out as per schedule and effectiveness.
•To conduct Internal Audit for IMS, closing of NCRs and maintain records.
•Preparation and maintaining all records related to IMS.
•To assist Sr. VP-SHE to conduct Risk Assessment, Environment aspects and HAZOP for all new products and review of existing/any change in the system.
•To collect data for IMS for Management Review Meeting.
•To help the plant personnel for taking SMP & EMP and review of progress.
•To conduct training for IMS system.
•Promotion and awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
