Profile: Sharjah FDI Office - Invest in Sharjah is one department under Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), acting as the investment promotion agency for Sharjah.
Responsibilities:
• Identify the investment opportunities & projects in Sharjah;
• Monitor the emerging new trends in the target market;
• Promote investment opportunities to investors from China and far east;
• Organize tailor made business Roundtable events in Sharjah with main China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea & ASEAN partners;
• Internationally arrange Road shows including B2B meetings and official visits to China and far east;
• Generate leads through promotional events and B2B meetings;
• coordinate with other government entities to facilitate the investor’s needs; Offer one stop shop service;
• Offer after care service and maintain investors relations;
• Close contacts with local and international business associations and councils;
• Social media promotion through Chinese wechat and weibo account;

Responsibilities:
• Government Relations: Interaction with local government entities, assist the Chief Representative to strengthen the ties with SCCI, DCCI and ADCCI and other Chambers in other emirates and GCC countries, as well as the Consulate General of China in Dubai and the economic and commercial section of the Consulate General of China in Dubai
• Business delegations: delegations from mainland China, composed of enterprises and government entities and help them organize promotion seminars or set up business visits to different local departments like free zones ect.
• Market Research: research reports about UAE’s economy of different sectors and report to CCPIT head office every year and Update local business news every day.
Responsibilities:
• Government relations: Assist the Secretary General to register the Chinese Business Council at Dubai Chamber and become a legal organization in UAE. And follow up the daily contact with Dubai Chamber and take part in the activities held by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry every month.
• Member services: Keep close contact with local Chinese businessmen in UAE. There are over 145 members under the Chinese Business Council and I keep close contact with the member companies and provide certain assistance.
• Business seminars: The Council organizes economic seminars for members twice every year. I am fully involved in the preparation process, from contact with the key note speakers, to the members’ invitation, as well as the negotiation of the venue selection for the seminars.
• Business interaction: Keep contact with business councils from other countries in UAE. Every year, the Chinese Business Council takes part in the Round Table Discussion at Dubai Chamber and meets other business councils and groups. I assist the Secretary General to keep constant contact with other business councils in UAE.
