Preparing documentation for the sustainability assessment evaluation in accordance to the local regulations and norms, Qatar’s own GORD (Gulf Organization for Research & Development) GSAS (Global Sustainability Assessment System (the GCC version of LEED)).
Development of lighting calculations considering the required lighting levels, uniformity and glare values.

Key member of the design team that rehabilitated a building located in a protected downtown area. Built in 1930 the building represented at that time, a milestone in Bucharest's interwar architecture.
Drafting of architectural plans and completion of all the necessary procedures: starting with obtaining the city planning certificate and acquiring all approvals required by law through the city planning certificate in order to obtain the construction permit, continuing with the development of the quantities lists, designing the construction details and ending with the construction site follow up and the final reception of works. Providing a permanent link between the beneficiary and specialist designers, coordinating and making sure that the proper conduct is followed and all the requirements meet.

Actively working within an international team of architects from France, Great Britain, Romania, Saudi Arabia, for an interior design project (the first two floors of a hotel in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia). The main project was divided into three sub-projects, depending on the general material type used (wood + fabrics, stone and plaster), each with its specific execution details. I was responsible for designing the construction details for all the 6 specific plans of rooms (floor, roof and elevations), using an approved interior rendering as a reference point. Starting with a general overview of the objects, scale 1:50, I detailed all the specific joints until I obtained scale 1:1 shop drawings.

A typical project for a new agency began with the drawing of the plans, based on what I measured in the space rented by the bank and ended with the pursuit of its construction site. I supervised the project in all its stages, from the demolition of some existing components to correlating the shop drawings with the structure and the HVAC projects. Follow-up of the project on the construction site until the end of the works.

Accomplishments

Introduced Google Sketch-up in the company and by using it and my 3D modeling skills I reduced the time needed for a 3D presentation, thus improving the efficiency interms of time table. Helped making a work file template that resolved the problems regarding the different styles in printing, text fonts and dimensions.

Responsible for drafting and designing construction details for the outside shell of the projects the company had, medical health centers in Greece, residential complex that consisted of two three-story high houses. The details were according to the agreed principles of the company.

Accomplishments

Since this was my first job as a junior architect, all the things that I learned back then contributed 90% to my present day work ethic. The way I approach a new project, the way I see a new challenge, the way I start the design process, and all the work techniques and strategies were all attributes that I obtained and learned working in a professional design team. This was the place where I learned the
meaning of the expressions “team work” and “team spirit”.
Participated in the development of projects such as The Sun Plaza Shopping Center in Bucharest.
