Responsible for establishing policies and best practices for Jordan country office & “temporary for Iraq country offices on-site (Erbil) and remotely (Mosul & Baghdad)”, administering benefits, and supervising the HR operations and recruitment. Responsible for performance management and personnel compliance with local labor laws, and with global HR policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with executive management, line managers, the HR team, and other stakeholders to build a culture of excellence and innovation.
• Manage employee relations, in conjunction with legal advisors to ensure compliance with local labor laws, and audits as necessary.
• Provide tools and guidelines to support and implement policies and procedures, domestically, work collaboratively in enhancing the HRIS, field office employee manuals, benefit summaries, and compensation guidelines; Maintain a high-quality central HR function, including appropriate technology, systems, and tools, including maintaining metrics and people data to inform key decisions.
• Manage the recruiting, selection process, and onboarding processes. Work with management to ensure the selection of the right candidates for all positions.
• Lead the development and execution of employee engagement and retention strategies, plans, and initiatives including the design and implementation of training, mentoring, professional development, and succession plans.
• Manage the performance management process and facilitate the improvement of performance management systems.
• Manage compensation and benefits administration.
• Assisted in managing employee welfare, wellness, health, and life insurance programs.

During my tenure as the HR Manager at Blumont from September 2020 to January 2022, I served as a strategic partner to the management team of the organization's country program. My responsibilities included overseeing HR practices, providing essential services to staff and Volunteers, and effectively managing the HR team. I acted as a coach, reference point, and leader for the HR department, ensuring their professional development and enhancing their competencies. I was dedicated to identifying the team's needs, fostering their capacity development, and empowering them to excel in their roles.

Here are some key aspects of my role during this period:

Recruitment:

Led and managed the Talent acquisition process, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
Coordinated with department heads and programs to make staffing decisions for new projects.
Created a talent roster for critical positions based on manpower planning and country program needs.
Managed and monitored all recruitment requests and processes across the organization, aligned with recruitment policies and local labor laws.
Led, developed, and supervised the HR team in daily recruitment activities.
Maintained an updated talent pipeline and actively searched for qualified candidates.
Prepared recruitment reports, HR metrics, tracking reports, and headcount reports.
Provided guidance and recommendations as a partner and advisor to management for recruitment requests.

Performance Management and Capacity Building:

Maintained an understanding of performance management policies and implemented any changes instructed by HQ.
Provided training, advice, mentoring, and coaching on performance management to staff.
Monitored the Performance Management Process, coached line managers, and ensured adherence to key result areas.
Analyzed training needs based on performance management cycle findings and coordinated training with managers and vendors.
Compensation and Benefits:

Engaged third-party services to benchmark and enhance compensation and benefits.
Conducted an annual Market-Based Pay Survey to evaluate the need for salary structure revision.
Prepared necessary documentation and processes for a timely and accurate payroll.
Personnel:

Managed onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring compliance with policies and labor laws.
Oversaw recruitment process for over 350 volunteers, aligning with donor regulations and SOPs.
Provided advice and guidance on professional development and career paths to employees.
Managed employee relations complaints and concerns.

- Monitor recruitment process for more than 250 volunteers inside the camp.
- Implement orientation (on /off )boarding processes.
- Handling Conflict resolution and mediation according to HR conflict and complaint mechanism.
- Updated and maintained employee manual.
- Prepare salaries updates which contain (Resigned / Terminated / Service contracts, New Hired, Unpaid Leaves, salaries changes).
- Review employees annual and sick leaves, and make sure all supporting documents are submitted.
- Ensure tracking of leave and absences and coordinate with Finance department to ensure accuracy of monthly payroll.
- Handling Insurance, Allowances, and Social Security updates on monthly basis.
- Conducting closing procedures and process undertaken at the end of project.
- Make sure that employees’ files are auditable at all times as per Blumont standards and any relevant donors’ requirements.

- Member of Blumont cash assessment committee responsible for general review, decision making and reassurance in the quality assessment of performances.
