Logistics Manager
  • July 2015 to November 2019

Manage the Logistics operation by implementing processes to optimize customer service and minimize costs.
•Prepare the yearly budget for Dima fleet which entails consumption of gasoline, fuel, gas, oil, wheels, maintenance, spare parts, labor expenses, trucks legal papers, insurances and others
•Design truck loading, routing and delivery time based on route requirement and cost efficiency.
•Embed safety and health conscious culture by establishing and following procedures complying with legal governmental regulations.
•Manage a Logistics team of 26 staff and 14 helpers. The 26 headcount include 26 delivery trucks / vans, maintenance supervisor and 1 mechanics / Electricians and a fleet service controller (responsible for legal papers renewal, insurances, etc…).
•Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machineries and equipment
•Coordinate with demand planning supervisor on in-bound containers loads received on monthly / weekly basis and instruct WH manager / team leader to prepare needed space for containers off-loading.
•Push the accounting team to enter swiftly / correctly the received goods data in the system
•Coordinate with WH manager on truck load, space utilization and routing to minimize deliveries cost
•Follow up on maintenance contracts and coordinate with suppliers / service providers in case there is a problem or defect in any part of the warehouse
•Coordinate with suppliers and Nespresso Boutiques managers on needed stocks, repairs / maintenance and monitor Nespresso boutiques stocks / orders
•Prepare monthly reports and any analysis or study demanded by management
•Follow up with pest management company on the agreed yearly visits to warehouse / boutiques and any extra urgent visits in case needed
•Gather all needed research / info in coordination with the consultant companies to prepare for the implementation of HACCP and ISO 9001.
•Prepare the rolling forecast and pipeline for Nespresso and other FMCG suppliers
•Implement monthly assessment for the warehouse and boutiques for Nespresso supplier visit

Demand Planning Manager at Fattal

• Attend the annual meeting with the Business Manager and supplier to agree on the IMS, activity calendar and purchasing plan for the whole year.
• Coordinate with Business Managers and Sales Manager on the yearly forecast and activities plan and provide them with the required analysis to finalize the plan
• Prepare the purchasing forecast based on the IMS agreed with the Business Managers while taking into consideration the actual stock, orders in transit, lead time and buffer stock agreed upon with the supplier.
• Review the rolling purchasing forecast taking into consideration the actual stock, orders in transit, required lead time, product shelf life, buffer stock agreed on, forecast by month, actual & historical monthly sales, average IMS sales, BTL/ATL activities and generate the required orders
• Adjust the orders by pallets, container size, and location to ship from to optimize cost
• Secure Business Manager’s approval on generated order prior to sending it to suppliers.
• Place the order by pallets and containers in the order sheet format and send it to the supplier on the agreed date for production.
• Follow up on logistics issues with the logistics manager and track regularly the actual ETD and ETA versus planned ones to assess potential delays in receiving goods
• Liaise with the supplier on merging orders with POSM or promotional goods in order to fill the containers and suggest new transportation mode to minimize cost
• Compare actual purchases vs. planned ones to assess business performance
• Send on a monthly basis the expiry report by SKU and highlight the near expiry stocks to be liquidated
• Prepare and analyze the SSR (sales and stock report) and the IMS (in market Sales) by suppliers on a weekly basis.
• Prepare business review or any report needed for the meeting with our suppliers and or partner.
• Communicate with the suppliers on issue related to forecast, logistics, sales and marketing
• Follow up and coordinate with the suppliers on the payment of debit notes

Warehouse Manager
