Collecting and validating process data.
Analyzing process data (with coaching from a Senior Engineer) to identify and evaluate initiatives and retrofit projects to optimize plants' operation.
Analyzing new projects design documents (with coaching from a Senior Engineer) to identify and evaluate initiatives to improve the design.
Performing material and energy balances as well as process simulation (on Excel or Hysys) to insure feasibility of identified initiatives and retrofits.
Perform process equipment conceptual sizing and coordinating with vendors to obtain detailed sizing and cost
Developing conceptual process design drawings and documents for retrofit projects and new projects design reviews.
Preparing reports & presentations.
Preparing design documents.
Performing software customization (with coaching from a Senior Engineer).
Coordinating projects and communicating with clients.
Process Engineer in Project Management Team (PMT)
•Conduct conceptual process studies up to the pre-project phase of the development process.
•Provide assistance and follow-up of process studies in the project phase of the development process.
•Provide process assistance to producing affiliates for technical operations problems.
•Prepare a state of requirements (SOR) with the applicable appendices and attachments that addressed to a contractor and/or licensor that define the requirements and specification of the work package to be done or bided for.
•Review deliverables from licensors and contractor to verify the process engineering calculations and to ensure consistency with any other related documents or drawings.
•Attend PFD/PID review meetings with licensors and to follow up the changes and its impact on the final output and time schedule.
Project Engineer Trainee
•Involved in preparation of project procedures document s (Numbering Procedure, Tagging Philosophy, etc., )
•Implement comments from engineering disciplines and address it to the project manager, to make sure of no duplication or conflict in the comments from different disciplines
•Write minutes of meeting (MOM) and follow the implementation of the taken decisions and roles by the time defined
•Call for a meeting and prepare the proposed Agenda or invitations to tender (ITT).
Cost Estimate Trainee
•Join the preparation of Project Budget through collecting market data about equipments and materials.
•Prepare a cost estimate for definite units based on quantities, volumes or weights
•Evaluate a bid or several bids from contractors on an EPC package.
•Analysis a quotation from a contractor’s open book estimates (OBE).
