Designing and setting up the most suitable and effective cost control organization on all projects to meet the objectives in compliance with
contractual specifications and establishing the development of cost database to maintain trends and the budget/actual analysis.
Organizing and maintaining the best integration between scheduling and cost control and Risks Management functions ensuring that any
activity is carefully planned and controlled in terms of time, budget and scope of work.
Providing analytical interpretation of cost information in relation to progress/earned value with the planning in Power plant, Oil & gas and
buildings, EPC projects etc.
Analyzing project performance on cost. Dealing with the variance and their implications considering resource constraints.
Estimation:
Received / reviewed Client's Commercial and Technical requirements for power plants.
Prepared accurate and timely bid estimates as per project specifications ensuring adequate return on the resources employed.
Prepared and issued RFQs for sub-contractors and/or suppliers for all disciplines.
Participated in assessment of proposal, and prepared detailed reports as applicable.
Attended pre-bid meetings and determined clear scope of work to prepare proper estimate.
Planning:
Prepared time schedule for Power Plants (Combined Cycle, Open Cycle & Cogeneration) utilizing Primavera (P6) reports.
Prepared and updated the planning package and supervised the day to day operation of Planning department to ensure that all the tasks are
efficiently performed.
Led the execution of the planning, supervised all the activities and components in the project plan framework i.e. schedule control, budget &
resource control and risk management and control.
Managed and finalized the micro level program of work for each dept. through the respective planning engineers and ensured that the
program is in line with the project master schedule.
Conducted weekly/monthly progress review meetings internally as well as with client to evaluate project progress and resolving issues if any.
Cost Control:
Key responsibilities remain same as mentioned above against Senior Cost Control Engineer
Led the estimation and proposal team for EPC projects and Coordinated between team members & different departments.
Managed all the activities of tendering process from receipt through to contract award.
Developed the proposal strategy, the type of response, scope of work and proposal themes.
Developed pre-qualification documents, followed up & confirmed company is accepted in client’s list of service suppliers.
Handled & reviewed all company promotion materials like Brochures, Flyers, Giveaways, webinars etc. with the suppliers as a part of
Business development activities of the company.
Material Control & Preparation:
Led a team for managing the activities of Material Control of CNC section.
Supported technically CNC team work regarding the problems faced to obtain the programs required & Cutting Plans etc.
Assisted the Material control Team to obtain Material Store Requisition (MSR), Final (PR) & Allocation of the material assigned.
Estimation:
Key responsibilities remain same as mentioned above against ‘Estimation, scheduling & cost control Leader’
Understood the scope of work and created the concept design (3D design) based upon the design input and functionality requirement.
* Submitted the concept design to Senior Design Engineer for Review and Verification and created drawings for the approved concept design.
* Designed some of the items for cement industry such as (ducts, chutes, air slides & Belt Conveyor…etc.), built up raw mill lifters instead of
existing cast for CIOK (Tunisia) and machine to produce a new shape of Gas Bottle from Poly Propylene
* Built 3D assembly model to help workshop technicians in the fabrication process and to avoid any surprises during the trial assembly.
Material Control Engineer
* Introduced forecasting reports to determine consumption of material based on consumption rates, supplier data, lead time, and storage costs.
* Initiated measures for the substitution of some special types of material, with locally abundant ones by comparing physical, chemical, and mechanical
properties. Mastered the stock taking process of both the raw material store andspare parts store and presented vital reports to enhance the stores.
