• Be responsible for the on-going review and monitoring of risks identified within the Location Hazard Assessment, Aspects & Impacts & Project Risk registers in FLAG; ensuring they have suitable and appropriate controls & mitigations in place.
• Aid & coach the crew on the development of Task Risk Assessments and other risk management tools where required
• Participate in Toolbox Talks & Last-Minute Risk Assessments (LMRA) providing input for related hazard controls where required.
• Conduct spot checks on permitted work activities to verify requirements are met for these activities.
• Assess & monitor ergonomics, HAVS & permissible occupational health exposure limits in the work environment.
• Review chemical storage and handling on the crew and aid in carrying out Area Assessments and Task Hazardous Substance Assessments (THSA’s)
• Verify that preventative maintenance is conducted in accordance with defined schedules
• Verify competency of personnel and ensure Short Service Employees are inducted, trained, mentored and tracked.
• Provide inspections on personal protective equipment used & verify its correct use.
• Maintain on-board QHSSE noticeboards. Poster campaigns, safety / PPE signage on the crew.
• Verify compliance with the Ghantoot Business Management System by conducting inspections of the worksite and reporting all Non-Conformities identified.
• Execute QHSSE responsibilities as defined in the Business Management System manuals & procedures.
• Continually analyse the work environment to ensure a safe workplace and be designated as the health and safety representative on the crew
• Act as the point of contact for all QHSE related matters.
• Liaising with customer’s auditors and ensuring the execution of correction, corrective and preventive actions and compliance with customer specifications.
• Verifying the implementation and operation of the QHSE systems, by planning and conducting Internal QHSE Audits.
• Monitor and Audit performance of suppliers and subcontracted services and ensuring performance is monitored against contracted KPI’s.
• Verifying the MAB’s QHSE policy, is fully understood, implemented, operated and maintained. • Ensure that subordinates comply with MAB’s policy, procedures and energy management system requirements.
• Review, update and control and the distribution of the company Quality & Health Safety, Emergency preparedness and Crisis Management, Fire & Safety Management and Energy Management Manuals, procedures and related forms in use.
• Liaise with the clients QHSE and management representatives, to ensure that all potential and actual QHSE issues are fully resolved.
• Ensure that MAB services meet both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations.
• Defining QHSE procedures in conjunction with operation staff.
• Drafting / updating standards operating procedures as and when required as per company standards and Client requirements for final approvals and to implement it in area of concerns.
• Conduct Quality and HSE Risk management analysis and ensure controls are in place to minimize risks.
• Liaise with other departments throughout MAB to ensure that the QHSE system is functioning properly and where appropriate, advice on changes and their implementation and provide training, tools and techniques to enable other to achieve quality.
• Set QHSE Improvement objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved.
•Worked in areas of DCCA & Dubai South, DWC Authorities. Making compliance with Authorities standards and closeout of inspections reports.
•Preparation, development and implementation of project HSE Management, HSE Policy & specific HSE Procedure for project to ensure compliance with clients, local and international standard.
•Providing the support in conducting of risk assessment, inspection and audit at the assigned area of operation in order to identify HSE risk, unsafe acts and condition and prevent non compliance that may lead significant losses or penalties from local authority.
•Organizing HSE Meeting among staff, monthly HSE meeting with client and top management and preparing agenda for minute of meeting and also providing the guidance.
•To carry out plant safety inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work practices and procedure followed by workers and advice employees on measures to be adopted for removing the unsafe physical condition and preventing unsafe action.
•Weekly and monthly static report based on first aid injuries, LTI, Near miss reports, material damage reports, corrective action reports, safety induction record and Safety tool box talks etc.
•Report, Record & Investigate all Accidents, Incidents and Near misses.
•To be actively involved in HSE activities & conducting Routine Safety Inspections/Audit including Inspections (i.e. Fire Fighting Equipment, Hygiene, General Housekeeping etc.).
To inspect all equipment and policies and make recommendations based on the daily progress report to the company man.
Daily reports and HSE tracking register.
Maintaining and keeping logs of all safety equipments.
Inspection of scaffolds during and after erection.
Supervision of technical staff in order to ensure that machinery working on site is in safe working condition.
Inspection of all safety equipment, including slings and fire extinguishers.
Provide training in the correct use of the safety harness and lanyard.
Encourage and test people on Stop Work Authority.
Conducting awareness sessions.
Supervising the Geo technical Surveys and being a Geophysicist giving a professional review at Survey reports.
The main responsibility was answering the client requirements and maintaining the HSE standards and handling their claims.
Preparing and Analyzing risk assessments on various activities.
Supervision of all HSE operations.
Creating reports for head office.
Work as a team with all personnel on Survey site towards attaining a goal of zero incidents and zero accidents.
Surprise Inspections of different Crews (Drilling, Loading, Shifting, Cable Crews) working at survey site.
Ensure permit to work system in use and being followed.
Provide rescue from heights by trainings.
Provide trainings in the PTW and LO-TO systems.
I secured 1903 marks out of 3000 and got 6th position in my batch. During this period I attended many lectures and workshops related to my field which were delivered in different universities. I was the captain of my department cricket team. I am the member of Pakistan Association of Geo-scientists (PAPG). Recently attended three days technical workshop organised by PAPG on "introduction to hydrocarbon exploration techniques and advanced methodologies".
I secured 518 marks out of 800 and got 188 marks in Math B out of 200. during this session I participated in speech competition held in my college at Independence Day.
I secured 728 marks out of 1100. During this session I remained the captain of hostel cricket team.
I got 574 marks out of 850 and secured 2nd position in my batch. During this session, I participated in essay writing and speech competitions held at Tehsil and district level.
