Conducting customer on boarding, enhanced due diligence requirements, Know Your Customer standards and ongoing/ periodic customer due diligence reviews in line with local regulatory compliance requirements and international best practice expectations, including the FATF recommendations.
• Developing and maintaining the list for prohibited accounts, high risk countries and high risk industries types in line with CBI Compliance policies, local regulatory requirements and international best practices and ensuring staff are aware of these requirements.

• Reviewing cases and referrals to confirm compliance with AML law, regulations, guidelines, and bank written procedures and policies.
• Following up with RMs/ branches to ensure all the required information and outstanding documentation, and data gap to be received in order to take a decision to either approve or decline the account.
• Performing sanction screening and PEP identification on the World Check (Thomson Reuters) and the public domain search, and maintaining a list of PEP approved opened accounts.
• Conducting PEP Assessments and parking their details in the appropriate categories as Local, GCC and Foreign PEP’s.
• Reviewing account opening requests for US classified client, as per FATCA/ CRS policy and making sure that FATCA/ CRS forms are duly filled and signed.
• Maintaining a record of all US accounts opened along with the addresses, US indicia, TIN (Tax Identification Number) details.
• Undertaking different tasks as required by the Line Manager - Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD).
• Maintaining appropriate MIS of new on boarding clients, PEP record, Accounts Recommended for Exit Due to Compliance Concerns, Negative list (accounts rejected cause of sanctioned/AML or other compliance concerns) with reasons, dates and other mandatory & relevant information.
