Key Achievements:
• Revised the existing Saudi go-to-market sales strategy by transitioning from a 3rd party sales initiative to a direct sales effort by launching 45 Sony World concept stores, halting a 2-year decline in sales, growing annual revenues from $129 million to $253 million and achieving profitability in 14 months via MEC the exclusive Sony distributor in Saudi.
• Obtained $97 million in incremental revenue by setting up and recruiting the Iraqi reseller channel business via appointing MEC as the Sony distributor in Iraq.
• Negotiated supply\purchase agreements with major telecommunications firms such as STC, Mobily Asia Cell and Zain.
• Introduced “Quorqashi”, a smart and detailed channel forecasting module that resulted in a significant and healthier channel purchasing & planning. The module is now active in 7 countries.

• 62, 000 handsets sold old in one month via VARs and concept stores tripling the volume sales in the UAE.
• Capped the “enforced minimum part numbers purchased” from 171 models to only 29 and resulted in VAR’s confirming better cash flow, speedier payments and happier customers.
