I have joined Brac Bank Limited on 16th Sep 2012 as Head of Operational Risk Management & Basel Implementation, Later on, since Jan 2013; I have been assigned with the responsibility of its Internal Control & Compliance (ICC) division. I report to Head Of Risk Management ( HoRM) for both my roles who directly reports to the Board with a dotted reporting to MD & CEO of the Bank.

Responsibility being Head of Internal Control & Compliance ( CC):

•Plan, Lead and guide Internal Audit and Compliance monitoring activities of the bank.
•Prepares timely audit reports for Management, the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors.
•Lead the team to implement Risk Based Internal Audit ( RBIA).
•Participate Board Audit Committee (BAC), Risk Management Committee (RMC) meeting.
•Active member of Audit Review Committee (ARC) in implementing finding and recommendation.
•Coordinate Employee Disciplinary Action Committee (EDAC) for consequence management as per audit and investigation finding/recommendations.
•Drive and implement fraud control culture across the bank.

Responsibility being Head of Operational Risk Management & Basel Implementation (ORM & BI):

•Implement Operational Risk Management framework and make it functional across the bank.
•Develop “Enterprise Risk Management” policy ensured successful implantation.
•Conduct Enterprise Risk Management Committee (ERMC) meeting - which is top risk forum of the bank.
•Oversee, Develop & Implement Manual/Policies and Compliance of Process Management.
•Design & implement “Risk Register” an online platform to capture & analyze risks across the bank.
•Oversee Basel-II implementation as per the road map given by regulators and directives of Board.
•Prepare and Ensure timely submission of “Stress Test” report to central bank.
•Lead Green Banking Unit ( GBU) of the bank.
•Lead Business Continuity Plan ( BCP) and its relevant activities of the Bank as lead co-coordinator
•Act as a lead trainer on Risk Management, Audit and Compliance.

Unit Operational Risk Manager (UORM)- Retail Banking & Wealth Management at Standard Chartered Bank
