 Maintains a file of all documents and prepares daily situation reports.

 Maintains a data base for flight hours and missions performed.

 Monitors the maintenance of aircraft and flight hours and crew duty time.

 Among other responsibilities, sector Air Ops Officers could be required to elaborate and submit their own

Sector Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).

Provides flight information for all inbound aircraft; determines when aircraft are overdue and initiates search and rescue.
 Ensure accurate placement of all helped firefighting equipment and proper ground maintenance in the entire sector of responsibility
 Ensure that proper refueling procedures are observed
 Provide advice of any Landing zone surface problems
 Oversee the proper movement and safety of any parked vehicles
 Responsible to create and disseminate to all relevant parties the updated daily, weekly, and monthly flight schedules according to the requirements/requests received from Joint Mission Air Operations Centre.
 Responsible for creating requests for slot clearance according to the daily schedule when required.
 Disseminate all information relevant to the safe and efficient operation of the flight schedule is relayed in a timely manner to all relevant parties.
 Ensures that the sector has sufficient technically trained and qualified staff and/or support personnel contracted by the client’s ALO’s to execute assigned functions.
 Gathers all risk assessment reports and sends to Chief Air Terminal Officer / CAVO.
 Gathers any safety or procedural comments from the Crew, Passengers, or stakeholders as feedback to benefit flight operations, makes safety recommendations, in the improvement of delivery of services.
 Reports frequently on progress of activities coordinates with all Units Supervisors on matter affecting their area of responsibility in the Section activities.
 Perform other functions as assigned by the Chief Air Terminal Officer / CAVO.

Air Operations Assistant at United Nations Volunteers at United Nations Mission Stabilization in Haiti.

1. Monitor all ramp operations taking into consideration Aviation Safety and Security of personnel. 2. Supervise and monitor
all airfield activities at least one hour before the take off any UN flight and until after the last operations. 3. Monitor all ground
activities on the UN ramp and inside the aviation maintenance hangars. 4. Perform daily inspection of the Ramp, the hangars,
the GPU, the tractor and other relevant assets. 5. Monitor physical status of aviation materials and equipment deployed on the
Ramp; reflect results in the Daily Ramp Checklist. 6. Monitor control of Ramp Access (including emergency access in the
hangars), ensure that only dully authorized personal are entering the Ramp. 7. Ensure all aviation personnel entering the
Ramp wear proper personal protective equipment such as footwear, ear protectors, gloves, reflective vests, eye protectors. 8.
Monitor aircraft refueling, passenger embarkation/ disembarkation, cargo loading/ unloading and ensure that all activities are
done in accordance with safety requirements. Stop unsafe activity and report immediately to Ramp Manager. 9. Before
departure, check the status of the aircraft and make necessary coordination between crew, MovCon passenger and cargo
processing units for cargo loading and passenger boarding. 10. After the landing of the aircraft assign proper parking position
and make necessary coordination with respective units for aircraft servicing (passenger disembarkation, cargo unloading,
aircraft refueling and etc.). Advice arriving crew not to disembark passengers if at the adjacent parking position another
aircraft has the engines running. 11. Before start-up the engine make sure that there is no passenger
embarkation/disembarkation or any other aircraft with running engine/engines on adjacent parking position or any other
vehicle close by. 12. Make sure that there will be no conflicting traffic at the ramp and the taxiway during all aviation operation.

Air Operations Assistant at United Nations Mission in Central Africa Republic and Chad.

 Assist in carrying out flying briefing/debriefing to all concerned as follows:
 Air tasking Order and Flight Schedule, Risk Assessment report, ensure that all necessary flight documents any specific briefing/coordination required from user has been carried out, coordinate with the Airport weather office and ATC for Wx information in order to brief Duty Officer and respective the crew;
 Perform administrative function as follows but not limited to: Consolidation of flight hours, data and statistics and maintaining database;
 Oversee the identification of office supplies and technology requirement including maintenance of equipment, software and systems. Submit request to the relevant units/sections;
 Undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor and be willing to work beyond normal working hours;
 Performs other related duties as required.
