1. Performs product safety testing of home appliances such as motor operated and heating appliances based on the international standard (IEC 60335).
2. Implements and maintains quality of test results by applying the laboratory’s quality control procedures.
3. Ensures that the test carried out is in accordance with relevant international standard, customer requirement or laboratory generated test method if any.
4. Implements corrective or preventive actions to non conforming work or problems, where applicable, and performs verification to demonstrate compliance and effectiveness.
5. Ensure that all test equipment required for the correct performance of the laboratory including processing and analysis of test data are in top working condition and preventive maintenance are performed regularly and is calibrated. This includes: Safe handling, Transporting, Storage, Usage, Planned Maintenance
6. Performs other jobs as deemed necessary by the test laboratory manager on the technical aspect and the asst. laboratory manager on the operational aspects.
7. Participates in predetermined audit as an auditor/auditee as required by the laboratory manager. The schedule and audit plan ensures that the management system are audited for compliance to ISO 17025.
8. Revised procedures as needed to reflect the laboratory’s actual performance.
9. Prepares the final test report for approval of the laboratory manager.
