My work in catering is to do food preparation and basic cooking such as sauce, vegetables and butchery under the supervision of chef de partie. I used to work by maintaining high standards of hygiene, preparing the ingredients for more senior chef also carefully measuring of Dísh ingredients and recording the portion size accurately.
My experiences have involved working within a team-based culture in 5 major kitchen operations . This involved planning, organization, co-ordination, commitment and skills e.g., in retail, this ensured that daily sales target were met, a fair distribution of task and effective communication amongst all staff members.
During my training period the biggest exposure which Emirates palace gave me is to trained in a sea food restaurant “Sayed” and working with a great chef in Italian restaurant “Mezaluna”, most importantly I learnt the essential knowledge of working and handling of food in kitchen.
