• Carry out the responsibilities of a Construction Engineer to provide technical support / leadership on a project.
• Perform studies and develop scope of work and execution of the engineering work
• Coordinate project electrical activities with a utility and other disciplines for their area of responsibility
• Develop and maintain electrical project schedule, progress reports and cost estimates. Execute change management process
• Ensure consistency and integrity of electrical design throughout project and review design for logic and functionality
• Develop detailed electrical specifications for the project.
• Perform / witness test at factory / site for all specified electrical equipment as required
• Perform pre-commissioning and start-up activities for electrical systems
• Monitor, execute and ensure the completion of construction projects of stores and corporate offices as per the desired specifications and prepare snag list for previously handed over sites
• Conduct and ensure testing of facilities after the timely completion of construction work are within budget
Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) phase of the project, detailed engineering work is carried to set up a SAP (Sulfuric Acid Plant) & PAP (Phosphoric Acid Plant), the work duties are:
- Review all electrical drawings and specifications submitted by vendors referring to specs issued by consultant.
- Review engineering plans, designs and circuit diagrams for projects.
- Manage project schedules and budgets, and obtain permits for operations.
- Supervise the construction activities .
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and standards procedures.
- Maintained effective working relationships with field crews, contractors, vendors, outside agencies.
- Directed, reviewed and approved contract documents and specifications, making modifications and recommending alternatives as needed.
- Coordinated projects with other departments, outside agencies, contractors and consultants.
- Review/act of Electrical procedures for installation test & commissioning
- Reading electrical design specifications and technical drawings.
- Attending meetings, writing reports and giving presentations to managers and clients.
-Monitors all engineering design and drafting activities to assure conformance with Client Standards and/or Company specifications, governing codes, and good engineering practice
-Reviews and approves drawings developed by the Instrumentation & Controls Design Group
-Supervises and directs all Instrumentation & Controls and Electrical construction and commissioning personnel on the task force project team.
-Maintain & Oversee all project's Electrical construction activities by scheduling the erection,
-Participating in commissioning of the Gas Turbine Generator "ALSTOM GT13E2" in corporation with ALSTOM GT Commissioning engineer and participating in commissioning of BOP ( Balance Of Plant)
-Participating in overseeing the Plant DCS System, IIT800xA, Egatrol 8(AC450 & AC160) commissioning
-Participating in overseeing GTG's MCC, SSD and UPS
-Analyze and identify long delivery items and request preliminary information through the E& I Department Manager as required to maintain the schedule.
-Implementing and following up the ITP ( Inspection Test Plan) and the TOP ( Turn Over Package) of the main vendor
-Reviews and maintains accuracy of the time sheets submitted by subcontractor
-Counsel and review the performance of subcontractor personnel and report to the E & I Department Manager as requested
-Establishing and following up Preventive Maintenance Procedures and Activities
-Responsible for managing all abnormal maintenance shutdown of equipment/s related to unplanned functional failure, deviation from approved maintenance strategy etc
-Determine and evaluating the new submittal for the new expansion project Specify all the Instrument specs and evaluating all the tenders
-Project Engineering Evaluation (Instrument and Automation) that required as per our agreement with the consultant.
-Responsible for the design and maintenance of the instrumentation and automation equipment at the factory.
-Preparation the basic design of the project (Automation) following the company instruction, Selection of the control and automation platform PLC selection Integration of the automation equipment.
-Develop and process, control philosophy, logic and wiring diagrams, instrument specifications and data sheets
*Participating in ABB Harmonic Control System construction and trouble shooting
*Trouble Shoot Failure of the Gas Turbine and Modifying control logic by using ABB INFI 90 Control System
*Trouble Shoot Failure of Balance Of Plant and the Gas Turbine Peripheral systems Air Intake, Lube Oil, Cooling Water System, Diesel Feed System, Hydraulic Oil system ..etc
*Determine the Instruments Line check, Loop Check and Function Test for Gas Turbine Ansaldo GT V94.2
* Review contractor's technical submittal and drawing
* Following up all the I & C construction activities
* Line check, Loop Check and Function Test
* Following the operational activities and trouble shoot malfunctioning equipment and implementing the maintenance
* ALSTOM DCS troubleshooting, and modification
* PLC programming
