• Plan and coordinate transportation operations: Develop and execute transportation plans and strategies to ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and materials.
• Manage fleet operations: Oversee the company's vehicle fleet, including maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
• Optimize transportation routes: Improve routing to minimize costs and enhance delivery times.
• Design transportation network: Establish delivery routes in major cities and intra-city connections.
• Ensure compliance: Guarantee adherence to local transportation regulations, safety guidelines, and environmental standards.
• Manage budget: Handle the transportation budget, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting expenses and revenues.
• Vendor relations: Maintain relationships with transportation vendors by negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and resolving issues.
• Track performance metrics/KPIs: Establish and monitor transportation performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, transportation costs, and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct benchmarking: Research industry best practices and compare transportation operations and rates with competitors.
• Communicate with stakeholders: Regularly update senior management, transportation staff, and external vendors on transport performance, benchmarking processes, and improvement plans through scheduled meetings and reports.
• Manage staff: Build and lead a team of transportation professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and training as necessary.
• Adopt technology: Implement transportation technology, including GPS tracking, fleet management software, and transportation management systems.
• Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement changes to optimize transportation operations.

Fleet Management and Planning:

• Develop, interpret, and implement Department policies, goals, objectives, and KPIs monitoring, related to fleet performance.

Fleet Maintenance:

• Oversee the activities of fleet repair, preventive maintenance and replacement to meet the company’s logistics needs in coordination with the Fleet Service Center.
• Oversee activities concerning preventive maintenance and scheduled maintenance to improve the utilization of the fleet.
• Oversee and continuously improve processes and procedures in repair and maintenance activities; finding ways to cut costs and maximize profits.


Fleet Disposal through Auction or Direct Selling:

• Coordinate with the Finance - Fixed Asset and Operations Team for Fleet disposals to ensure timely removal of the retired fleet.
• Proper reconciliation of physical fleet inventory for disposal stock.
• Preparation and mobilization of the fleet for auction or direct selling.

Asset Management:

• Support in the preparation and monitoring of the Annual Purchasing Plan.
• Carry out Market Consultations for the acquisition/contracting processes of new fleets and/or improvement of the supply conditions of those already purchased, with a special focus on the processes of acquisition of fleets.
• Conduct yearly Asset Physical Count in coordination with Finance and Fixed Asset Teams.
• Review the status of current breakdown assets and expedite return to service keeping costs down if possible or recommending disposal.
• Fleet Requisition, Replacement, and Disposal.

Performance Management:

• Ensure that monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual reviews are conducted as per schedule with proper feedback and an action plan to address any gaps.
• Monitor Fleet Department goals, objectives, and KPIs and come up with innovative solutions to existing business challenges.
• Monitor all Department expenditures and analyze all financial objectives.

Fleet Control Tower Management:

• End-to-end visibility and control of the entire fleet.
• Real-time tracking of assets - Fleet and equipment and maintaining Proactive notification and effective communication with stakeholders.
• Fleet availability, utilization, and optimization statistics through data analytics driven by the operated fleet.
• Maximize predictive decision-making and dynamic execution.
• Ensure full compliance and data synchronization with GTA and Wasl Platform for Fleet, Drivers, and VTS device details.

Fleet Administration and Legislation:

• Manage all Fleet Government Relations matters in terms of new Roles, Regulations, and Licensing to ensure the full compliance of GTA and other Government Authorities.
• Maintain enhanced records of the fleet documents and provide analysis and reports on the status of the fleet documents' registration and renewals.
• Monitors the Implementation of communication programs to ensure positive and productive relationships with government officials, and public sector organizations.
