•Reviewed existing client’s risk 3 months before renewal and marketed their risk to our insurance partner companies to obtain the best coverages at the best price.

•Worked with Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs to assess their unique insurance needs and helped them understand the diverse insurance coverages available in the market concerning their industry and business.

-Risk Management & Underwriting
•Liaised and established relationships with key personnel in insurance companies about the right underwriting risks.
•Reviewed and underwrote a number of commercial risks; Commercial Auto/Fleet Insurance, Commercial Business Insurance, Builder’s Risk, Commercial Property Insurance, Errors & Omissions Insurance, Directors’ & Officers’ Liability Insurance, Dance Studio/ Dance Instructors Insurance.
•Conducted an annual review of my existing client’s insurance policies to discern if the risk was in line with the brokerage’s and insurance company’s standards.
•Providing value-added advice to my clients on risk management and how to reduce and avoid the need to make a claim.
•Review policy wordings and coverages from our insurance partner companies to keep up to date with underwriting requirements.

-Claims Handling
•In the event of a claim, I was the first point of contact for my clients, hence I worked diligently to help expedite the claims process for the client. Constantly kept the client updated on the indemnification and restoration process as promised when the policy was initially purchased.
•Liaised with claims adjusters to understand the severity of the claim, how to resolve the claim, obtain necessary paperwork from the client to help in claims settlement.
•Worked with insurance companies to either expedite the quick settlement of the claim or assist in providing trusted contractors to restore client’s damaged property.

-Operations and Office Administration
•Coordinated activities with other internal units to meet customer needs.
•Developed, recommended, implemented, and interpreted client service procedures to the CEO to improve the effectiveness of current operations and systems.
•Ensured customer complaints were identified and recorded and if required were escalated to the unit head broker or the CEO.

-Quality Assurance and Control
•As part of the Quality Assurance Committee created in-house policies and standards to be in RIBO and legal compliance. Implemented these policies company-wide to deliver excellent customer service and experience.
•These policies and procedures acted as a catalyst in the swift administration process of preparing and maintaining documentation within the brokerage.

-Corporate Social Responsibility
•As part of the Corporate Social Responsibility Team: Community Tribe, executed the restructuring and augmentation of the CSR program. Successfully executed two CSR programs; Summer BBQ for marginalized Youth and Quality time with the Elderly.
