Manage & direct the assigned project (s) in such a manner as to assure its on-schedule completion within or below the established approved budget, in accordance with contractual obligations and good engineering practice, and in a manner satisfactory to the Client and the Company.
•Develops overall strategic plan to execute the project(s) deliverables in adherence to the contract & stakeholder milestones.
•Establishes detailed scope of work for the project(s) as directed by Senior Management in conjunction with other divisions and Client, and in accordance with project(s) proposal and contract.
•Establishes, the project(s) required staff and priorities in coordination with Department Senior Management to develop overall manpower requirements necessary to execute the scope(s) of work of project(s) undertaken.
•Establishes project management procedures for execution of construction management tasks.
•Creates, modifies, and updates the Project Management Plan and Project Execution Plan as required.
•Reviews all work for compliance with the contract. Identifies out-of-scope work requirements.
•Performs other project management functions as required by Management & Prepares contract change notices as required.
•Define the strategy and manage the delivery of the project through the design, procurement, and construction phases in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
•Control the scope of the contract and maintain a change management control system; managing value engineering and optimal contractor involvement efforts to refine scope for best value.
•Manage compliance with technical requirements including responding to all requests for information, acceptance of submittals; review of work in progress for acceptance at witness points; and acceptance of completed works.
•Manage work within established schedule; establishing a baseline program and measure progress against it; review and accept schedule updates; evaluate entitlement for extensions of time.
•Administer the project contract(s) in accordance with established policies; set up and manage correspondence control; assess and recommend contractor invoices for payment; ensure that change orders and claims are processed in a timely manner.
•Review and accept construction methods statements; establish quantity baseline and evaluate productivity of work execution; confirm appropriate site controls are in place & managing multiple contractors in a restricted work space at heights.
•Communicate quality requirements and implement QA/QC processes to deliver works to the appropriate quality standard.
•Communicate safety & health requirements including identification and implementation of proper processes
• Implement appropriate systems to report all incidents, record inspections, file investigations, and collect labour hours.
•Conduct periodic project meetings consistent with the project communications plan to promote and facilitate communication, review progress/performance, discuss issues and facilitate problem resolution.
•Report all necessary dashboards, metrics, and updates for senior management information
•Ability to effectively organize and staff a project team in a matrix organization.
• Knowledge and understanding of standard infrastructure project management tools, techniques and procedures including: Project Controls, Financial management, Automation, including standard office tools, Records management.
•Knowledge and experienced in Project Execution Plan development, implementation, Closing Out and Commissioning Projects.
•Knowledge and experience in contracts/subcontracts formulation, risk analysis, negotiations, and implementation including: Change control and documentation management, Cost trend program and its linkage to change control.
•Knowledge of cross functional work processes and interface knowledge, especially Project Controls, Supply Chain management, Quality management and the ability to manage the relationships/interfaces with management and functional groups.
•Accountable for planning, monitoring, assessing resources, directing & ensuring adherence to the construction program in order to complete the project within the time with quality.
•Responsible for end to end project management for construction and commissioning of high value building projects.
•Monitored the projects progress using Project management software (Primavera and MS Project) to ensure completion within time and cost budgets.
•Assured conformance with the country, building standards; planned & deployed the financial, manpower and material resources, ensuring effective utilization.
•Coordinated all statutory authority permissions & arranged for design approvals to commence work and final approvals by Local Authorities; managed real estates & properties with a team for maintenance of commercial & residential apartments.
•Prepared & submitted updated work program and cash flow curve showing actual progress and identify areas of weakness and establishes means and methods for recovery, if any, as well as new critical activities
