Design renewable energy solutions to satisfy customers' energy needs.
Present solutions to customers and create proposals.
Follow up with customer and the technical department throughout the installation process
I was given two simultaneous assignments:
Research:
- Plan, perform and analyze CFD case studies.
- Produce recommendations and publications from case studies.
- Lead, supervise and assess interns/trainees.
Teaching (Measurements I & II lab):
- Design, construct, maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment
- Supervise and provide support to students and colleagues in the lab.
- Maintain class records.
Lab topics covered:
- Fluid Mechanics
- Vibrations
- Strength of materials
- Heat transfer
- Transducers: Strain gauges, thermocouples, thermistors, accelerometers, pressure transducers and microphones
- Signal generation, conditioning, acquisition and processing
- Statistics and uncertainty
- Report writing and professionalism
Duties:
- Select, purchase and install lab equipment
- Conduct biodiesel research experiments
- Perform CFD simulations
Research topics:
Biodiesel, Algae, Wave energy and CFD simulations
Duties:
- Maintain lab equipment including internal combustion engines and ensure its readiness for students
- Teach students and provide support during lab sessions and office hours
- Assist students in senior design projects
Labs taught:
Internal Combustion Engines, HVAC and Strength of Materials.
