Software Developer in Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) since Dec 2013 (ongoing), where I held the responsibilities of development within the Center of Digital Innovation. Development varies between website, mobile, Virtual Reality, IoT using Raspberry Pi, and AI solutions. projects and work handled:
• Development of Mobile Application Testing Lab.
• Development of Virtual Health Lab, this solution simulates an Appendectomy surgery and a human body anatomy experiences.
• Development of Our Future VR solution, this solution acts as a career guide for school students using VR.
• Development of TRA’s government virtual Assistant (a chatbot), the assistant helps UAE citizens in inquiring and applying for TRA services.
• Development of the government’s Virtual Academy.
• Founding OpenUAE, an Open Source Community within the UAE.
I held the responsibilities of development within the IT Department. Development varies between website developments using expression engine (CMS above PHP), plus developed workflow oriented applications using K2 blackpearl. Application support for CRM module (Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013), and TRA’s mobile app (developed/gathered requirements during prior to project implementation)
Worked at e-services sub department, and got to develop Sharjah Municipality's iPhone App, during the development I got to do the following:-
- Design and build the Application.
- Manage the Application development life cycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
Plus I developed web applications and services using the ASP.NET technology, where I got to:-
- Implement Systems analysis & requirements
- Programming and coding in VB, C#, JavaScript, CSS3
- Production support:
1) Problem diagnosis
2) Resolution analysis
3) Correction
Trainee in the IT Department. Worked at Development for 2 months and a half ... Where I got to:-
- Develop and debug applications using VB6
- Import data from AS4000 database into Microsoft SQL to generate reports for different entities using Microsoft Reporting Services technology
