My current role at ALRAJHI BANK as officer control in corporate operation to process their deals with Treasury Dep and external brokers with Bursa-Malaysia Market and London brokers, during this period I have learnt a lots of tasks, by performing the following:
• Managing NOSTRO accounts and monitoring them for any required funding
• executes corporate products transactions on behalf of the bank with its external brokers
• Performing monthly report of corporate operations transactions
• Quoting Foreign Exchange market in all major currencies to retail and corporate clients
• Quotes quick and competitive rates to spot desk, corporate sales desk and branches
• Provides information on market activity to other dealers as required
• Executes money market transactions on behalf of the bank with its inter-bank counter parties based on the limits allocated
• Gathers and updates market information and suggests strategies to enhance overall profitability
• Maintains cordial relationships with other inter-bank market participants/brokers to enhance inter-bank dealing
These tasks have given me the opportunity to work as a member of a large team as well as manage people. I have learnt the importance of understanding different functions of Finance and the business as a whole to be able to support the team at all times.
