Duties and Responsibilities:
 Understand fully all of the Specifications/Drawing documents and maintain up-to-date registers where appropriate.
 Prepare permanent material schedule and raise questions for same, review / update on regular basis.
 Assist in preparation of daily reporting procedures e.g, wastage, productivity, progress.
 Ensure QA procedures / checklists are being carried out and proper records are generated.
 Encourage / promote safe site working practices through dialogue / example.

 Provide detailed working sketches of any temporary work schemes i.e., formwork, false work and shoring and submit to site agent / project manager for approval.
 Prepare detailed schedules of any temporary works schemes requiring proprietary equipment and submit to SA/PM.
 Review plant / labour allocation and advise project management of any future potential problems.
 Initiate simple cost / value comparison formulae and implement through Site Engineers.
 Assist Site Engineers in preparation of short-term programs.
 Liaise with client / consultant to resolve any technical issues.
 Review / prepare daily orders for asphalt / wet mix /concrete, ETC.
 Provide assistance in preparation of Monthly Progress Report.
 Highlight to Project management potential variations / additional works.
 Provide organizational support skills to Site Engineers and assist in any subcontract support equipment.
 Provide leadership and promote teamwork to site staff.
 Be able to recognize / evaluate over-resourcing and committed to auctioning.
 Have a basic understanding of labour / plant costs / typical production outputs.
 Maintain up-to-date registers of Site instructions / variations.
 Ensure method statement and risk assessment are in place for all tasks .
