Present Appointment : senior Specialist, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,
International Medical Center, Jeddah, May 2009 till present.
Carries out Obstetric and Gynecologic healthcare, both on an in-patient and
out-patient basis, for those patients designated as being entitled to such care.
S/he is responsible to the Medical Division for performing high quality medical
care. Also interacts with physicians in IMC in giving consultation and advice regarding care and disposition.
Providing surgical care both in the operating room and in the OPD for
Gynecologic and Obstetric conditions for both emergency and planned procedures.
Covering the Delivery Room to include admitting patients, reviewing their
history, planning a course of action, performing both spontaneous and operative deliveries, and interacting with midwives.
Covering the Emergency Service by promptly responding to calls for
consultation.
Providing out-patient care in Clinics, when so assigned by the Chairman.
Working evenings, nights, week-ends and holidays according to a schedule
compiled by the Chairman.
Doing and interpreting ultrasound examinations both in hospital and on
an out-patient basis.
Interpreting fetal heart rate monitoring and taking appropriate action.
Carrying out formal and informal consultations from physicians on other services.
Attending committee meetings when so assigned by the Chairman.
Interacting with patients’ families to keep them informed of the patient’s
condition, changes in condition and plans.
Carrying out other duties when requested by the Chairman or administration such
as chart reviews, presenting talks at General Rounds and in the Districts, and visiting Designated Facility hospitals.

♦ Participates in delivering high quality patient care in coordination and communication with the attending Consultant. Initiates assessment of patients and discuss the plan of care with the Consultant. Assists and participates in major operations and any other operations with the Consultant. Participates in the On-Call duties, education and training of Residents, research activities. Performs daily rounds, writing of progress notes, pre- and post-operative notes.
♦ Responsible for Outpatient Clinics in ART Unit and General Obstetrics.

♦ Responsible for all in-patients, pre- and post-operative cases, all the emergencies, Labour Room. Assisting all surgical cases, On-Call every 3rd day and also in charge of the Delivery Unit in this multi-specialty, 100 beds capacity, and the hospital dealing with 36 health insurance company with average 220 deliveries per month.
