1.Verifies import orders related to shipments and the documents attached with them to confirm the correctness of the submitted statements and shipments. So that the foodstuff are not from the types that are prohibited from entering the county.

2. Inspects all foodstuff registered in the shipment lists and this includes ascertaining that there are no insects or epidemics which may spread about in the country.

3. Follows up laboratory inspection results of samples to release the foodstuff suitable for human consumption, which are in tally with the specifications or registering the violation of foodstuff which are not in tally with the approved foodstuff laws.

4. Seizes prevented shipments, which are not allowed to enter the country or those discovered damaged after physical inspection and to issue suspension permission to send them back to the competent authorities.

5. Executes all processes related to the transfer of delayed foodstuff in order to re-export them back to Country of Origin.

6. Submits the daily initial reports for all the executed inspection works and to present them directly before the supervisor.

7. Classifies and register the foodstuffs and fix their degree of risk, as per the risk estimation system. In order to make import, re export and marketing inside the country easier.
