Responsibilities
General and Strategic Management
• Manage the company’s duct fabrication facility as a profit center dealing with all technical, operational, marketing, administrative and financial aspects.
• Develop and implement long-term strategic plans to improve plant facilities, develop new products and grow the company in to a world-class provider of products and services.
• Formulate business plans for the duct fabrication unit covering all program requirements, labor hours, cycle time, and production costs facilitating achievement of the company’s strategic business objectives.
• Drive initiatives for continuous improvements in operational efficiency to stay ahead of competition by identifying and adopting new technologies and products.
• Collaborate with other departments including sales, supply chain and procurement to finalize resource requirements related to human capital, equipment and machinery and ensure availability to optimize production.
• Participate in development and maintenance of productive relationships with clients ensuring long-term business generation and growth.
Plant Operations Management
• Plan, supervise and coordinate overall operations of the unit ensuring that product production and dispatch meet quantity and quality targets as per the company’s business plan.
• Develop and implement processes and systems related to budgeting and cost control, production planning and production and delivery complying with overall company policies and procedures.
• Review processes related to planning and fabrication of ducts and adopt industry best practices leading to resolution of production constraints and improvements in productivity.
• Supervise and monitor all unit activities ensuring smooth and efficient operations as per approved plans and budgets.
• Manage the process of inventory control including scheduling of in-factory production as well as flow of products from subsidiaries to maintain optimum stock holdings.
Quality Assurance and Waste Reduction
• Collaborate with the quality assurance/quality control department in ensuring quality of end products as per order specifications and applicable codes and standards.
• Monitor scrap rates across production lines, determine trends, identify areas of concern and implement improvement plans.

Budget and Cost Management
• Participate in the development of and supervise efficient implementation of plant manufacturing budgets.
• Monitor and control operational costs and expenses ensuring compliance with approved budgetary limits.
• Drive initiatives to identify and leverage opportunities to achieve cost savings without impacting product quality.
• Communicate with departmental personnel to create awareness of the budget and promote optimum utilization of resources.
Safety and Security Management
• Work with the HSE team in implementing and ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe workplace.
• Drive campaigns and communication initiatives and conduct audits to ensure building and sustenance of a superior safety and housekeeping program.
• Implement and ensure adherence to the company’s security and access control procedures to safeguard company assets.
Staff Management
• Deal with manpower planning, assess workforce requirements for the manufacturing department and coordinate recruitment and hiring of personnel.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPI) and set targets for sections, teams and individuals.
• Conduct performance appraisals, identify training and development needs and ensure building of required skills matrix in the organization.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, counseling and motivation to team members to promote teamwork and maximize efficiency and productivity.

Technical Engineer at Mechanical & Chemical Supplies Co Ltd (Al Hammouri Group)
