As the Head of Logistics, Warehouse & Distribution, I am responsible for overseeing all aspects of the logistics, warehouse, and distribution operations within our organization. Duties/Responsibilities:
In my capacity as the overseer of store operations, I meticulously managed day-to-day activities utilizing ERP software. This included procurement planning for raw materials (RM), packaging materials (PM), and process chemicals in accordance with the Annual Business Plan (ABP) and budgetary constraints. Furthermore, I conducted thorough verifications of spare parts categories, ensuring proper classification of critical, fast-moving, and slow-moving items to facilitate efficient inventory management. Maintaining adequate safety stocks and lead times observation were paramount in safeguarding uninterrupted production processes. I meticulously prepared yearly store budgets and provided monthly consumption updates through comprehensive presentations, highlighting critical issues and proposing solutions for consideration. Facilitating seamless coordination between departments was essential to our operations. I maintained regular correspondence with Production, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance departments to ensure timely receipt, delivery, and procurement of materials. Additionally, I maintained open lines of communication with the Chief Procurement Officer and liaised with both local and import procurement departments to address any procurement-related concerns or requirements. Effective supplier communication and evaluation were key components of my role. I established and maintained strong relationships with suppliers, conducting regular evaluations to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost criteria.
