• Plan the curriculum together per year/semester.
• Observe the English language teachers and provide monthly assessments to the Education Officer.
• Have regularly scheduled meetings with school Principal and Education Officer (once every 3 months).
• Organize an English File and keep it up to date.
• Bring enrichment items to the teachers.
• Exchange ideas, worksheets, tests, etc., amongst staff.
• Delegate responsibilities.
• Interview, coach and support new teachers.
• Problems should be dealt with openly, with all parties involved.
• Decide with staff which new materials to buy.
• Monitor the exams’ and plan a follow-up program.
• Be in contact with the school supervisor and social worker as regards students with special learning problems. Provide information that is required.
• Class allocation- in coordination with the supervisor
• See to a friendly, cooperative and professional climate amongst the staff at all times.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars.
• Design suitable assessment & reporting structures to complement the course

• Promoting the general progress and well-being of the students entrusted to me
• Providing guidance and advice to my students on educational and social matters and
on their further education and future careers; providing information on sources of more expert advice;
• Communicating, consulting and co-operating with other members of the school staff, including those having posts of special responsibility and parents/guardians to ensure the best interest of students;
• Reviewing and evaluating one’s own teaching and learning strategies, methodologies and program/s in line with the Curriculum Framework guidelines;
• Advising and co-operating with the Head of School, Assistant Head, Heads of Department, Education Officers, and other teachers in the preparation and
development of courses of study, teaching materials, teaching programs, methods of teaching and assessment and pastoral care arrangements;
• Ensuring high standards of professional practice and quality of teaching and learning of English
•Through effective dialogue, participating in reciprocal peer review and observation of class teaching practice by the Head of Department
Throughout my part-time work at Direct English Institute and the other language academies, I have dealt with many different levels of learners where I successfully managed to help them move up to the following level.
I have learned there how to deal with all different kinds of learners with different cultures and habits.
I believe it was a fruitful experience for me as it helped me polishing my teaching skills.
