Detailed design of Underground Stations, basements and subways.
Carry out Multi- Disciplinary checks within the departments
Prepare design and assessment reports. Develop design intent drawings and general arrangement drawings.
Carry out site visits to assess the structure.
Attend Inter Disciplinary Check meetings with Network Rail.
Prepare all the necessary documentation in terms of design for Network Rail submissions.
Respond to Technical Queries raised by contractors.
Lead a team of 30 Engineers and am accountable for all the deliverables on the project from Bangalore.
Reponsible for project budgets and programme.
• Perform detail structural analysis of the structure using structural softwares like STAAD Pro.
• Design structures according to the design standards prescribed by the client.
• Coordinate and interact between the client and the contractor to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Provided expert technical advice wherever necessary.
• Attend to client and contractor meetings.
• Provide the necessary information to execution department for attending/completing the engineering requirements on the assigned projects
• Ensure project related non-conformances are identified, controlled and satisfactorily corrected in co-ordination with the QA/QC department.
• Most designs were carried out using British Standards and Earthquake design was provided by conforming to the Uniform Building Code.
Had to design various structures like hospitals, commercial, industrial and residential buildings.
Coordinate with the client and the contractor.
Manage a team of draftsmen to ensure timely delivery of drawings.
Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer.
