Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
Maintain and clean work and inventory areas.
Fill customer orders from stock and place orders when requested items are out of stock.
Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
Examine returned parts for defects, and exchange defective parts or refund money.
Assist customers, such as responding to customer complaints and updating them about back-ordered parts.
Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions.
Mark and store parts in stockrooms according to prearranged systems.
Read catalogs, microfiche viewers, or computer displays to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
Locate and label parts and maintain inventory of stock.
Discuss use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of machines or equipment.
Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
Place new merchandise on display.
Pick up and deliver parts.
Manage shipments by researching shipping methods or costs and tracking packages.
Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
Demonstrate equipment to customers and explain functioning of equipment.
Repair parts or equipment.
Measure parts, using precision measuring instruments, to determine whether similar parts may be machined to required sizes.
Supplier Quality Assuring for the Components without defects
Ensuring that there is no dimensional errors & process skipping in the product
Monitoring quality systems & compliance with pre set standards; troubleshooting and maintaining requisite documents to ensure complete in-process quality & improvement in process capabilities.
Verification of test certificates, Dimensional inspection from the suppliers and at Final Inspection and testing.
Generation of Weekly MIS of the department and circulation to top management.
Quality Assurance by establishing right process and process controls system.
Process improvements through Kaizens.
Controls of non-confirming products by giving immediate feedback to the suppliers on Quality Issues and take Corrective and Preventive actions through 8D report and with help of Quality tools (7 QC tools).
Root Cause Analysis of Customer complaints and initiate Corrective actions and Preventive Actions through 8 D report.
Monitoring daily rejection levels and taking necessary steps to reduce the rejections
Final inspection held with customers.
Calibration of instruments like all type of Vernier, Micrometers, Height gauges, Torque wrench, Torque meters as per IS/ISO standards.
Reducing the rejection level using 7QC tools.
Responsible to keep all the testing and measuring instruments in good condition.

“TOOL METROLOGY AND GAUGE CONTROL” this is one of the section comes under the Quality Engineering department.
Responsibility of the dept. is
• Calibration of instruments like all type of Vernier, Micrometers, Height gauges, Torque wrench, Torque meters as per IS/ISO standards.
• Calibration of gauges like all Thread ring gauges, thread plug gauges, taper thread plug gauges in all variety of pitches as per IS/ISO standards.
Assuring the quality of tooling item like jigs, fixture, form tools, drill, tap’s reamers, gauges, instruments, inhouse manufacturing as well as receiving item through outside vendors & conforming through ERP (SAP) system.
Analyzing rejection, rework and losses on daily basis to insure continuity of production to achieve efficiency & targets.
Assuring maintenance of proper documentation for maintaining compliance with quality requirements in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 14000.
Process planning, Study of Drawings
Improving the Daily work management and Exactness.
Reducing the rejection level using 7QC tools.
