1. Al Habtoor Tower (80+ floors) in Business Bay, Dubai. Scope: Built-up and hot-rolled structural steel fabrication and delivery for propping system, plunge columns, and part of the superstructure.
2. Health club (G+2) for ORO24 compound in Arjan, Dubai. Scope: Design, fabrication, fireproofing, and erection.
3. Oxygen Gym (G+1) in Khawaneej, Dubai. Scope: Engineering, fabrication, and erection of the main structure’s long-span cantilever truss canopy and interior steel fit-out.
4. Emaar Arabian Ranches III villas compound, Dubai. Scope: Design, fabrication, coating, and installation of MS handrails, boundary fencing, and other miscellaneous steel.
5. Dolce & Gabanna mezzanine modification in Mall of Emirates, Dubai. Scope: Design, engineering, fabrication, coating, fireproofing, and erection.
6. Al Marai roofing structure in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi. Scope: Fabrication, coating, and erection.
7. ADNOC - Warehouses/workshops in Wave project in Al Mirfa, Abu Dhabi. Scope: Design, engineering, fabrication, coating, and erection.

JOB PROFILE:

• Leading the engineering team, and coordinating with projects, production, procurement and estimation departments, and with architects/consultants/contractors.
• Design of PEB and hot-rolled structural steel buildings including residential & commercial multistory buildings, shopping malls, warehouses and workshops which can also be accompanied by overhead cranes of different capacities using STAAD Pro.
• Attending technical and commercial meetings with main contractors and consultants to discuss technical aspects of the project.
• Estimation of the project’s quantities, steel takeoff from STAAD Pro or Tekla, and price analysis according to the specifications and terms mentioned in the tender documents, considering the acceptable gross profit/contribution for the company.
• Optimization of built-up and hot-rolled steel sections based on acceptable stress ratios and deflection/serviceability limits.
• Application of seismic activity (static or response spectrum) on high-rise buildings using STAAD Pro or ETABS, maintaining seismic considerations in the structural system as per relevant codes.
• Design of all connection types including shear, moment and axial which will fit all structural systems either frame action or trusses as well as base plates using Excel sheets. This includes pipe-rack connections as well.
• Design of purlins, composite steel joists, deck sheet & slab, and design of jack beam/truss and floating columns with their connections
• Design of light gauge steel structures (LGS) using STAAD Pro and Excel with bolted connections.
• Preparation of structural calculation sheet, using the following design codes: AISC 360, AISI, ASCE 7, MBMA, UBC, IBC, BS5950, BS6399-2, ACI 318, and Eurocode.
• Sending sketches to the detailers to furnish structural drawings, and reviewing them based on the design. Previously, I have multi-year experience in preparing structural drawings utilizing AutoCAD, and 3D modelling using Tekla Structures for hot-rolled and PEB steel projects.
• Prepared PowerPoint slides about structural steel design, and trained a governmental authority’s engineers.
• Knowledgeable about the structural steel fabrication process: cutting, welding, blasting, and painting, and aware about the tests performed to check the quality of the welds and painting.

1. Shopping malls (structural steel):
• Salalah Oasis Mall (G+3) Built-up area: 38, 000 sq. m.
• Barka Grand Center (G+2). Built-up area: 17, 000 sq. m.

2. Residential/commercial multi-story building at Wadi Kabir (structural steel): G + 6 + 2B, consisting of two basement car parking floors, basketball court in the ground floor, multi-purpose hall in the first floor with a balcony in the second floor, a service floor and three residential floors on top. Built-up area: 12, 000 sq. m.

3. Hypermarkets:
• Lulu Jaalan (structural steel + RCC foundation). Built-up area: 12, 000 sq. m.
• Lulu Amerat (structural steel). Built-up area: 8, 000 sq. m.

4. Workshop with 15T and 3T overhead cranes for Schlumberger. Built-up area: 4, 000 sq. m.
5. Workshop at Duqm with overhead crane capacity of 30T. Built-up area: 3, 600 sq. m.
6. Cantilever-type open car park (double and single-sloped roof). Shaded built-up area: 4, 600 sq. m.
7. Sports/social club: Consists of 5 structural steel buildings with covered walkways in between. Two of these buildings are G+1. Total Built-up area: 4, 000 sq. m.
8. Shades (structural steel) for Royal Oman Police at Wajajah border.
Total built-up area: 4, 000 sq.m.
9. Showroom (G+2) with offices and warehouse (structural steel) for TopFast Trading.
Built-up area: 1, 000 sq. m + LGS (Light Gauge Steel) mezzanine (220 sq. m).
Construction of turnkey job (reinforced concrete + structural steel + MEP + finishes).
10. Oman Oil petrol station at Yiti (structural steel). Built-up area: 600 sq. m.
11. Oil & gas piperacks’ and platforms’ connections for Petroleum Development Oman (PDO).
12. Connection design for Duqm Integrated Power and Water Plant (DIPWP) - proposed building.
13. Proposed aluminum alloy wheel manufacturing plant (structural steel) in Sohar. It consists of twenty-six buildings, two of which have 35-ton and 10-ton overhead cranes.

14. Proposed warehouse with mezzanine and 50-ton overhead cranes, built-up area: 11, 000 sq.m + workshop with 50-ton overhead cranes, built-up area: 6, 000 sq. m + cantilever car park shades, built-up area: 1, 800 sq. m in Qatar. Total built-up area: 18, 800 sq. m.
