As a Senior Sales Engineer, I am a part of the Power Grids division - High voltage, which is a global leader in turnkey power projects. The Power Grids division delivers solutions across the power value chain. This includes system solutions for power generation, transmission technologies, substations and distribution technologies for network management.

My main responsibilities include;
Volume and profit
• Selling products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.

Customer relations
• Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.

Sales plans
• Preparing sales plans using company tools. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.

Sales
• Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicates details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).

Marketing
• Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.

New market opportunities
• Identifying and drives the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.

Administration
• Managing administrative procedures in sales processes, and supports collection and project management activities when needed.

Offer preparation
• Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the marketing Manager. Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

Sales Specialist – Building & Living Spaces في ABB

Create & Monitor the sales Opportunities for Building automation products to support the system integrator in achieving the Sales Target.

Share the knowledge, innovative ideas with colleagues
and enhance cross BU and Division collaboration
 Prepare the implementation of the business plan in the market and clear action plan.

Responsibilities :

 Oversee, maintain and upgrade existing sister companies businesses to ensure ongoing top management satisfaction.
 Attending and representing the company at the events and International exhibitions.
 provide a platform for international companies to enter Qatar and secure business opportunities through our coordinated marketing efforts and envisaged as the bridge that connects the client / project to the specialized contractor / supplier to deliver targeted strategic solutions for their planned development in Qatar.
 Monitoring the activities of contractors and consultants with regard to compliance with design standards, project specifications, schedule targets and quality requirements for KBF Group companies.

In charge for construction the following Projects within our Group:

 Construction of 2, 000 Sq. Mtr. KBF Warehouse at Barkat Al-Awamer Q.R. 1.2 Million (Completed in 2012).

 Construction of 5, 000 Sq. Mtr. PROSERV Wellhead Control Panels Factory for our Sister Company at the Small & Medium Industrial Area, Q.R. 4.3 Million. (Completed in 2013).

 Construction of 4, 750 Sq. Mtr. MESCCO Electrical Panel Factory our Sister Company at the Small & Medium Industrial Area, Q.R. 3.5 Million. (Design Stage).
 Developing of 16, 000 Sq. Mtr. COMPASS International School our Sister Company - at North of Qatar Foundation ( Al-Thamid Area), Q.R. 85 Million. (Waiting DC-2 Approval).

 Developing of 37, 000 Sq. Mtr. Compass International School - Abu Sidra, Q.R. 142 Million. (Design Stage).

 Meet clients and visit sites in order to obtained detailed requirements/needs.
 Communicate/ Negotiate with vendors and sub-contracts to reach to best total solutions (Technically) and most competitive (Commercially).
 Follow-up with clients on all submitted proposals and guarantee prompt replies on all there requests to increase winning probabilities.
 Coordinate with Management and purchasing officers for ordering process of all winning projects, and guarantee smooth and prompt deliver of all ordered materials.
 Arrange sites supervision to guarantee professional installation within time frame and as per agreed on terms and conditions of contracts.
 Work on guaranteeing maximum levels of customer satisfaction during the whole sales, installation and commissioning processes.
 Achieve monthly / quarterly sales targets that are set by Management, and report on monthly bases on non approved proposals with detailed comments.

Electrical Inspector في Dar al-handasah Consultants

- Responsible for inspecting and checking and troubleshooting contractors work.
- Supervising all the systems in the project (Generators, HV and MV in
Substations and ELV such as Telecom, Home Automation system, Fire
Alarm System, CCTV Security System, Audio Visual System, BMS,
Earthing and Lightning systems).
- Serve as Site Inspector for all matters related to construction quality assurance
of electrical works,
- Review contractor’s variation or change order proposal. Prepare recommendation to the Resident Engineer for review.
- Review contractor’s claims related to electrical works. Prepare a recommendation for claims approval or rejection. Evaluate and report to
QS department of the actual scope of works done in the site.
- Witness the Testing and Commissioning for all Electrical Systems being
conducted by the contractor and/or the third party company.
- Assist the Core Team for the following Scope of Works:
i. Reviewing the Shop Drawings to ensure that the intended design for the project is being implemented accordingly.
ii. Reviewing the Record Print (Red Marked Drawings) prior to the final approval of As-Built plans.
