Responsible for overseeing PC&C activities for assigned Areas to ensure EPC PC&C Contractor’s safe and efficient delivery of Complex Instrumentation & Control Systems.
Planning, set-up, testing, and troubleshooting of various components until final Integration and Dynamic Testing.
Planning of systemization, commissioning/pre-commissioning planning, database set-up and coordination with other stakeholder disciplines is developed.
Provision of clear guidance to the EPC Contractor and facilitates resolution of pre-comm/comm issues to meet project objectives and milestones.
Ensuring the planning and execution activities associated with the pre-comm/comm of assigned area is achieved by the EPC contractor, including third parties such as vendors, consultants, sub-contractors etc., and are executed to Project’s specifications and requirements.
Effectively guiding EPC contractor, including vendors and subcontractors and pre-comm/comm team to produce timely deliverables up to Handover.
Maintaining constructive working relationship with EPC contractor, including vendors and subcontractors to ensure delivery and execution of pre-comm/comm work scope in accordance with project specifications/requirements.
Providing Instrument pre-comm/comm expertise & guidance, to lead safe execution of the instrument Pre-Comm and Commissioning scope of work in accordance with project deliverables and execution schedule. Demonstrate leadership in planning & execution driving EPC contractor to deliver as per project milestones.
Providing leadership in the Field and Technical Rooms with EPC Contractor, vendor & Sub-contractors in troubleshooting efforts to diagnose, formulate and resolve issues with field instrumentation / controls systems and difficulties from test execution during SAT/Loop Test and Function Test that impedes efficient progress.
Guiding EPC Contractor's Instrument pre-comm/comm activities and validating contracts, including vendors, subcontractor resources, personnel qualifications, etc.
Reviewing, approving Instrument Pre-Comm/Comm check sheets, Construction Work Packages, and provide supervision of pre-comm/comm scope of work by EPC contractor, supports contractor by helping to address gaps and coordination with operations and other disciplines within CPY team.
Maintaining close liaison with members of Engineering, quality, construction, operations Teams and accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned in compliance with project objectives, Instrument specification and industry best practices.
Schedule and control the routine, preventive overhauls, and emergency maintenance within the allocated period of outage Supervising and performing corrective preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance and IPF tests on field instruments Plan and manage time and manpower for executing the annual & major overhauls
Update, and maintain records related to the maintenance work, maintain a master list of drawings, calibrate/test tools, and equipment Perform personnel functions such as performance status, leave management, overtime, etc.
Ensuring all in-field activities carried out complying with Safety procedures
Calibration and testing of the instruments in Polymerization. Extrusion, Chiller Packages, Cooling Water, Steam Supply, Reactors HVAC, CRAH System, and other systems of both PP and HDPE plant
Planning Instrument Team Shutdown / Turnaround tasks, isolation and interlock checks, calibration, and testing of all plant instrumentation in collaboration with other disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering Team, Planning, and HSE Teams, updating all activities progress in the SAP (Maximo) system, following up the execution in the field.
Lead a team of Instrument Field technicians and senior technicians and DCS controls specialists who are responsible for maintaining and upgrading the plant instrumentation and controls system.
Scheduling of personnel to cover required work, documentation of work practices by individuals to ensure compliance to plant procedures, monitoring of attendance, adherence to safety rules and regulations, etc.
Supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance team; daily WO
Working with several types of calibration and test equipment, measuring and sourcing process meters such as Fluke, Wika, HART Communicator 475, TREX unit, etc.
Provision of the technical evaluation to support Procurement Team, provision of the technical documents, going through bidders to make sure about the reliability of the order
Review with the department superintendent the department assets maintenance strategy, programs, and directions in compliance with vendor recommendations, codes, standards, and best practices to ensure effective maintenance activities and optimum asset life cycle cost
Planning medium-term and short-term team goals, communicating priorities, assigning tasks, and following up on
Build high team spirit, identify, and develop people talent, Interview, and select internal and external candidates for vacant positions Discussing with the department superintendent the contractor’s scope of work (SOW)
Liaising with technical department counterparts
Identify, and Set-up resources to implement maintenance activities Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, BR, PR, Inspection Performance Monitoring to meet company targets and KPIs, and ensure all maintenance activities and assets are reported correctly Continuously Support cost-effective consumption and cost vs benefit decision
Ensure spares are correctly described, ordered, and received
Review and monitor the availability of drawings, specifications, job instructions, material deliveries, and tools
Monitor Contractor's detailed daily and weekly work plans following the overall planning schedule, working in PIMS and ICAPS systems, as well as in Documentum, AVEVA.
Supervise I&C Commissioning Team on carrying out following site procedures and PTW system
Technical assistance and instruction contractor and vendor company's engineers for developing appropriate FAT/SAT/FTP/C&E Test procedures
Working on a wide range of instrumentation including temperature, level control, pressure, flow, and vibration, key phasors Conversant with DCS and Emerson Delta V, Siemens PLC
Calibration loop checking of the field instruments (Emerson, Rosemount, ABB, Endress & Hauser, Yokogawa, based on BP documentation
Working with all types of drawings, especially loop drawings, P&ID, Layouts, C&E diagrams, instruments list, flow chart, datasheets Installation, checking, and troubleshooting of I&C and safeguarding system in process plants
Working on Fresh Water Maker, Flash Gas Compressors, MEG System, Cooling Medium, Condensate, Flowline, Turbines, Main Power Generator, Emergency Generator, Gas Injection Compressors, Glycol Package, Booster and Export pumps, Fuel Gas, Nitrogen, etc.
Ensuring all team members are fully aware and understand all the projects safe working practices and adhere to them to maintain a SAFE working environment
Work in HV and LV Switchroom, verifying all trip signals from ICSS to Switchroom and status signals from Cubicles to ICSS.
Good working knowledge of serial communications especially MODBUS over Ethernet, fiber optic networks and site-wide communications, Fieldbus, Profibus, etc.
Participate in C&E matrix testing with Client and certification authority based on ICSS SAT
Assist the Lead Engineer and conduct the project works on-site during the commissioning period.
Support the TO/HO team with MC Turnover from Construction and the Handover of Commissioned Systems to Operations.
Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures, standards, and regulations Create electrical installation detail including SLD, panel layouts, cable, and consumer lists Review And integrate designs, schematics, diagrams, etc.
