Managing a team composed of engineer, finance analyst and community facilitators in ensuring the a process called community driven development is well implemented. An area coordinator provides technical assistance to staffs in conducting community activity as well as conducting training to community volunteers to build their capacity in procurement and sub-project implementation as well as capacitate them towards project sustainability as end user of the project. An area coordinator has close coordination with the local government unit as stakeholders in making sure that the project is well implemented. The area coordinator also monitors implementation of community empowerment activity and is expected to give feed backs and make reports of the progress of the community in embracing the process that promotes sense of ownership of the project and the process, people participation, transparency towards poverty reduction.
Front-line in implementing the Community-Driven Development Process that aims to reduce poverty, improve local governance and empower local community through series of community activity that promotes people participation and localized decision making. A community facilitator facilitates activities wherein the community identifies their unmet needs (unemployment, low household income, etc), develop community project proposal, managing sub-project (school building, health station, roads, drainage system, etc) implementation and ensuring sub-project sustainability after sub-project completion.
