• Allocating & monitoring the tasks of Project / Site Engineers in accordance with company’s / project’s policies & procedures
• Supervise and manage the prefabrication and installation of piping & Equipment works in the assigned Unit of the project.
• Responsible to ensure all the activities are carried out in a safe manner and as per the project quality procedures.
• Attending regular, IIF safety and tool box meetings/campaign in order to give awareness of the safe working culture among the work force.
• To achieve the daily and weekly targets of welding and erection jobs in accordance with the specifications.
• Direct and supervise the activities of assigned to Sub-contractors (for Small Bore piping fabrication & erection), Refractory, painting, insulation works
• Preparing the list of construction equipment & manpower resources required and ensuring the availability for the smooth execution of the project in time and within the budget.
• Organizing regular meetings with Subordinates and subcontractors for executing the company’s targets / project’s quality & safety policy.
• Maintaining cordial relationship between Contractor, Client, Vendors and Sub Contractors for smooth execution of the project
• Oversee the hydro-testing, closing of punch list, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities at site for the Piping, and mechanical works.
• To resolve the site obstruction jointly with the client and subcontractors without hindering the schedule.
• Attending progress and major interface meeting with client and top management periodically
• Handling the field engineering which involves preparation of Isometrics, making Bill of Materials from the GA/Plan drawings.
• Allocating Jobs to the workforce, obtaining Permits for the daily work.
• Managing Piping prefabrication and erection works of CS & SS Pipes.
• Driving the work to achieve the daily and weekly targets.
• Resolving site obstruction/clashes jointly with the client.
• Planning and organizing manpower for the daily activity of the Ship under repair.
• Conducting Tool Box meeting before the start of the job.
• Ensuring the material required for the job is made available.
• Coordinating with the Ship management for the required permits and details of the job to be executed.
• Driving the work to achieve the daily and weekly targets.
• Attending daily internal progress meetings.
