Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing, training and production usage.
Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases.
Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances.
Install new versions of the Oracle RDBMS and its tools and any other tools
that access the Oracle database (Linux, oracle fusion middleware, oracle database and installation and configuration)
Plans and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database.
Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Databases (Audit vault, TDS, Datagurd)
Performs database re-organization’s as required to assist performance and
ensure maximum uptime of the database.
Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects.
Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools.
Manage sharing of resources amongst applications.
Check databases redundancy and synchronization (Primary site with DRC site), with delegate or permission from head of the section.
Provide daily system activities support.
Perform EOD and SOD, according to time table given by the head of section.
Provide second line support to the branches.
Any duties may delegate by the head of section.
