 Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing, training and production usage.
 Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases.
 Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances.
 Install new versions of the Oracle RDBMS and its tools and any other tools
that access the Oracle database (Linux, oracle fusion middleware, oracle database and installation and configuration)
 Plans and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database.
 Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Databases (Audit vault, TDS, Datagurd)
 Performs database re-organization’s as required to assist performance and
ensure maximum uptime of the database.
 Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects.
 Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools.
 Manage sharing of resources amongst applications.
 Check databases redundancy and synchronization (Primary site with DRC site), with delegate or permission from head of the section.
 Provide daily system activities support.
 Perform EOD and SOD, according to time table given by the head of section.
 Provide second line support to the branches.
 Any duties may delegate by the head of section.
