CFTS (Customer Focussed Technical Support), delivers premium L3 network support for high-profile Service Provider / Telco customers. With my team I stand by the customer by making sure each subscriber can use the network in optimal fashion by identifying and troubleshooting issues in the customer network and bugs in Junos OS and work with engineering to get these resolved in next releases.
- Responsible for supporting the complete install base of more than 2000 Juniper MX960 routers which terminate over 25 million subscribers (residential & business subscribers).
- Obtained a 4.8 (out of 5) average customer satisfaction rating (based on per case customer surveys).
- Provide 24x7 customer coverage for P1 incidents by participating in on-call rota.
- Make sure outages with end user impact get resolved in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot: PPPoE, L2TP, RADIUS, DHCP, TCP/IP, BGP, IGP’s, Multicast, QoS.
I was brought on board to expand, optimise and manage the in-house datacenter used as replication & test lab for the JTAC-engineers.
- Optimised device utilisation by introducing a reservation system that was also able to power manage devices this resulted in a 25% power saving.
- Implemented the automation lab, which allowed JTAC-engineers to create network topologies on demand by means of an L1 switch, without the need of physical patching.
- Keep the lab network up at all time and manage the physical and virtual (server / network) infrastructure.
- Building network topologies for JTAC to replicate customer issues.
- Work with vendors in generating BoMs and quotes for new projects.
- Build and manage VMware ESXi / vCenter environment (version 5.5 / 6.5). Also build and manage Linux and Windows VMs hosted on top of this environment.
- Configure and manage server & storage environment, exposure to HPE DL-series, C7000 Blade chassis and HPE / NetApp iSCSI / FC storage.
I started my business “Worry Free IT” with the vision of being a reliable technical partner for my customers by taking care of everything IT related and don’t let the customer worry about it. I took on projects for building out networks (including Windows servers and WiFi) on a physical and configuration level up to customer requirements. Also provided periodic service and patch-ups together with incident resolving.
