• Ensure daily inspections and Planned Maintenance on electrical equipment time to time is carried out & recorded in the Star IFS system.
• Ensure that the preparation of permit to work system & Isolation certificate & in place.
• Supervision & Inspection of maintenance work carried out on all the Electrical & Instrumentation Equipment.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair of routine third party equipment, under their direction.
• Start and bring generators (main and emergency) on line for single and parallel operation.
• Measure insulation resistance of windings. Clean and inspect windings and exciters. Perform all required preventative maintenance.
• Isolate circuits. Troubleshoot, service, maintain and repair breakers, including removing breakers if required and installing replacement.
• Planning of the work activities identify & set priorities on the work to be done.
• Clean inside switchboard, including bus bars, following proper procedures. Properly check connections. Troubleshoot service, maintain and repair switchboard.
• Clean, inspect, repair/replace brushes, brush gear, commutator, windings and Connections. Measure insulation resistance of windings. Troubleshoot and clear ground faults. Perform all required preventative maintenance.
• Carrying out PMS on STAR IFS maintenance system and taking out maintenance work order & closing the work order after completion.
• Preparing of material requisition through IFS online procedure.
• Preparation for Pre Rig move & performing the rig move check list.
• Installation of Satellite Dish, laying of coaxial TV cables, setting of satellite network.
• Maintenance of Draw works resistance banks, i.e. cleaning of resistance banks, connection checking, air pressure & temperature switches.
• Rectifying the EX-rated equipments on the rig.
• Planning all rig electrical operations and maintenances of all the equipment.
• Ensure rig performs tasks and operation for the company in safe, professional and efficient manner.
• Prepares and follow up related work programme and budget. Supervises routine and non-routine maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and installations.
• Supervising installation, commissioning and testing of new equipment/plant and trouble-shoot problems.
• Safe-guard the company’s assets and interests. (Wells, materials and equipment.)
• Co-ordinate with tool and night pusher.
• Ensuring that the environment was protected all the time during rig operations.
• Prepares and present detailed reports on the causes of major breakdowns on electrical plant, and submit recommendations for the prevention of similar occurrences. Review documents of major and minor projects.
• Plan and supervise training needs for developers at both supervisory and technicians levels, provide guidance on technical information, prepare and submit progress report related to their progress in coordination with site and head office.
• Supervising installation and commissioning of Equipments at Construction site, followed by trial runs.
• Installation of crane camera at the boom tip.
• Rectification & fixing of Anchor Winch proximity switches. Replacing of the faulty cables of the switch & connecting in the Junction Box.
