Checking design compliance as per the stage/gateway review and approval procedures of NEOM for different design stages such as Master Planning and Asset Brief, Concept Design, Developed Design, Detailed Design and Tendering and IFC stages. Project Management of highway design works related to Neoms regions, including consultation with PMC (Project Management Consultant) and PDT (Project Delivery Team). Review/undertake technical audit of Highway Design / Pavement Design AASHTO 1993, Geotechnical Studies, Road Safety Audit GG119 (all Stages and Briefs). Review Design Basis Report of highways for various NEOMs regions and provide comments on technical road design parameters such as highway link design, review of road profiles including horizontal and vertical alignments, K values for crest/sag curves, safe stopping distance, full overtaking distance, curvature, superelevation, road drainage, earthworks, gulley design, sustainable drainage design, merge and diverge design for motorway and all-purpose roads, parking design, junctions/intersections design both priority and signalised junctions, cycleway design, RRRAP, VRS systems as per the requirements of KSA Ministry of Transport (MOT)/ MOC Standard Specifications, Highway Design Manuals, AASHTO - Geometric Design of Highways and Streets Volume, MOMRA Design Standards, DMRB - UK. Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations. Review of the Earthwork, Cut & Fill details, Site Grading Plan and coordination with Road Contours and the Utilities Design. Review contractors construction drawings and check co-ordination between design and construction matters and respond to technical queries and technical submittals to ensure compliance with NEOM standards. Review public realm studies and design, signage and wayfinding drawings, road lighting drawing.Review Mobility Studies, Multimodal Traffic Impact Studies as per NEOMs Traffic Impact Study Procedure PRC-013, cycle track design and pedestrian circulation paths, Traffic Engineering/Traffic Modelling aspects as per the compliance requirements of NEOMs Design Procedures and Deliverables and NEOMs Engineering Procedures and to check and ensure the documents submitted for reviews are compliant with the contract (SOW) requirements. Review and provided design comments on major Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Engineering projects, including access roads, emergency accesses, Electric Vehicle Infrastructures, pedestrian and cycleway design, Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan, & Urban Realm Strategies design as per NEOM working standards, MOT, MOC and AASHTO design standards. Review and answer RFIs related to technical queries in relation to highway design. Review and discuss project departures / deviation from standard requests with NEOM Mobility, design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders. Attending meetings with PMC, PDT, and key stakeholders to discuss workflow closing strategies and answer technical queries on the comments resolution sheet (CRS). Key Projects Involved and Major Accountabilities South Wokingham Distributor Road & North Wokingham Distributor Road, Arborfield Cross Relief Road, Western Gateway (Construction of a spine roads to serve 10, 000 new homes worth UK £ 250 million).
• Liaise as a lead member of the Highway Infrastructure Board in discussing and agreeing on project departures / deviation from standard requests with design consultants, contractors, and developers.
• Reviewed and Checked Departure from Standards for highway design features such as Superelevation at shallow gradients, lack of Transition Curves, lack of Stagger spacing b/w junctions, lack of visibility on the approach to roundabout, lack of visibility for Shared use pedestrian and cyclists visibility, departure from standards for RRRAP and VRS design etc. and agreeing compensatory measures with Designer.
• Reviewed Multimodal Traffic Impact Study, Micro-mobility Study, Share Surface Audit, Electric Vehicle Charging methodology, traffic modelling both for micro-simulation and macro simulation including reports VISUM, VISSIM, Synchro Studio and SIDRA.
• Experience of developing strategies for Public Transport Diversion to new dwellings, involving developing Bus Cost Revenue & Cost Estimate and writing Draft Public Transport Strategy for new developments in Wokingham. Worked on various projects in Wokingham on Mobility and SUMPs Studies.
