-Assist and advise clients on the introduction and implementation of VAT in the GCC and wider Middle East region.
-Identify, document, and recommend client business requirements for VAT compliance and assist with processes and systems.

-Prepare an annual report on the activities of the VAT Officer with particular reference to the benefits generated.
-Attend and contribute towards member/officer working parties and other meetings. Such attendance to be both within the department, with other departments and with outside organizations.
-To co-operate with the GAZT in complying with relevant policies and procedures in the performance of the duties of the post, and Work with information technology and associated systems in accordance with GAZT
-Delivering VAT reporting, ensuring VAT compliance and identifying risk.
-Identifying potential tax planning opportunities.
-Ensure all month end processes are actioned on a timely basis.
