Senior Manager at All Building Services

As Senior Manager, I am responsible of General Management and logistics. In charge of audits of HSE procedures and Security / Safety risk assessment, I am also responsible of Advisory services for the optimal use of our clients' facilities thru FM and the maintenance of systems including but not limited to CCTV, Anti intruder alarms and fire detection & fighting mainly. Most of my customers rely on my audits and submitted CAP (Corrective Action Plans).

The company employs 15 full-time workers plus up to 20 part-time technicians, designers and engineers depending on projects. The main customers I am responsible of include the UN, European commission, Meridian Hotel, Sheraton and Algiers International Airport. The latter are provided with professional advice/direction HSE/ FM matters/solutions associated with the site/s

Cogral was the biggest oil company in Algeria employing over 1400 persons with six major branches all spread in the country's seaside. As A Managing Director in charge of Supply, General Services and Safety, I was in charge of three major department: MEP / Purchase including logistics, cars and trucks management, Safety Department Management mainly industrial, Environment and training policy and finally Project management department including buildings' maintenance programs unit. \n \n - Acts as a center point of communications for support and guidance for FM/Security/General services on site. \n• Responsible for the above mentioned sectors standards and delivery through KPI's/SLA's. \n• Develop standard performance indicators and management information reports. \n• To establish standardized processes across the site in compliance with legislation and meeting industry ‘best practice’. \n• Appoint different units and site heads in HSE, FM, General Services and Security. \n• Ensure projects are managed within the portfolio and delivered on time and within budget. \n• Manage all emergency procedures for the site/s. \n• Manage all accident reporting at site/s \n• Responsibility for ensuring compliance to legislation relevant to my services. \n• Manage suppliers who support the site/s \n• Develop a relationship with specialist Contractors and Suppliers at a senior level, to align operational and specific goals. \n• Accountable for the financial performance of the site/s service delivery. \n• Agreed point of contact ensuring that best practice and innovation is applied on all sites where appropriate. \n• Carries out annual management audit review across all areas on specific compliance requirements. \n• Ensure that all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements are in place at site/s within remit. \n• P&L responsibility. \n• Carries out annual management audit review across all areas on specific compliance requirements. \n• Support of pull through/cross-account opportunities \nThis biggest Algerian privatization project ever ended in nov.2006.

General Services Unit Head at CITIBANK N.A

December 2001 - March 2006 Appointed as Project Supervisor at Citibank N.A. In charge of the follow up of the finishes of the main branch in Algiers -and up to Sept. 2002, Officer in charge of new branches settings: Three branches located in different points of the country started operations in less than a year saving approximately US$ 200, 000.00 on one MEP only.

Feb. 2002: Promoted as General Services Unit Head with Citigroup rank Assistant Manager. In charge of all logistics of Citigroup in Algeria including all procurement, drivers management, Record retention, new premises, insurance of buildings, all contracts of maintenance (electricity, security, vaults and safes, security systems, etc.), launched the first Vendor Management Committee as process owner. Thanks to this Vendor Management Process I realized huge savings. I was also in charge of the conduction of internal audits of the unit thru quarterly RCSA (internal Audits), KPIs and CAP when necessary.

July 2003: Designated as Country Safety and Security Officer in addition to above, after an intensive training. Among the main tasks fulfilled are:

- Emergency plans for the four facilities, creation and implementation.
- Ensure that timely drills are conducted and fire wardens are designated and
provided instructions.
- Develop and maintain a Safety File for the facility. The Safety File contains records and copies of inspections, self-audits, corrective action taken, drills, and training reports.
- Administer a continuing program of training, information, accident / incident reports, and hazard identification / correction for safety officers at their facility.

Obtained a satisfactory note (twice) after an extensive ARR (Audit Risk Review) for Vendor Management, Records Management, Safety management, Branches management and Security management. The ARR was conducted by a group of international auditors.
