≈ Managed overall operations of the South Sudan Early Warning Early Response System (EWERS)
≈ Developed the South Sudan EWERS from scratch, including writing methodology and securing support from relevant government ministries and UN entities
≈ Managed team of eight
≈ Maintained up-to-date knowledge of political and security issues throughout the region
≈ Evaluated and analysed information received from multiple sources
≈ Chaired weekly early warning assessment meeting
≈ Presented weekly early warning report to UN leadership.
Achievements:
≈ Developed and implemented a crisis early warning system for South Sudan that was able to successfully identify and mitigate potential crises, thus lessening the impact of conflict on civilians.
≈ First early warning system to be mandated and implemented by a United Nations Peacekeeping Mission.
