• Operate as part of a team of engineers, designers and estimators in carrying out detailed engineering works and provide necessary technical information required as per project scope of works.
• Organize the preparation/development of EPC phase deliverables including the preparation of Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, Hazardous Area Classification, Equipment Layouts, Cable Routing and Layout Drawings, Cable Trench/Tray Layout Drawings, Lighting and Small Power System Layout and Details, Earthing & Lightning Protection System Layout and Details, Installation Standard Drawings, calculations and other required documents.
• Review the tender scope of requirements and prepare tender clarification questions
• Evaluate electrical technical requirements and provide accurate electrical take-offs.
• Perform sizing calculations; demand load, consumer unit, sub distribution boards, main distribution boards, generator, transfer switch, synchronization panel, cables and termination, trench and ductbank.
• Perform lighting calculation using Dialux software.
• Prepare a detailed bill of materials for submission to the procurement team.
• Develop, implement and drive the procurement strategies and logistics plan in order to meet cost savings targets.
• Develop cost estimates and incorporate them to the tender bill of quantities.
• Track and maintain all estimations for further analysis and project development.
• Develop estimates on labour rates, equipment rates, and logistics rates.
• Review estimates to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the defined scope of work.
• Provide technical support in preparing tender write-ups, specifications, design assumptions and method statements.
• Negotiate with suppliers on both technical and commercial aspects of the project.
• Conduct factory acceptance tests and inspections.
• Schedule meeting with the supplier for technical discussion and project plan.
• Analyze and incorporate strategic logistics plan in compliance with the bid project plan and requirements.
• Attend site visit and bidders conference as assigned by the Line Manager.
