Worked as a contractor (Outsourced) with British Telecom, Bahrain. BT was the operating partner for a quickly evolving Telecom/ISP company, Nuetel communications which is located at Amwaj Islands, Bahrain. BT operated and maintained Nuetel’s Metro-Ethernet Triple-play network consisting of IP Telephony, IPTV & Internet
On May 2007, I was promoted from the position of a Team leader and sole Security specialist to the role of Operations and Maintenance Manager. Main responsibilities involved overlooking & managing operational service assurance, regular maintenance of services, provisioning of services to new customers & handling a technical team of engineers.
Prior to the promotion my main responsibility was to handle all security related issues in the network like maintaining DMZ’s, creating VPN tunnels, monitoring IDS alerts, ensuring and blocking Web sites on the Cisco content engines.
The security products involved were Cisco 7600/6500 FWSM, VPN concentrator, IDSM-2.
Secondary responsibility included overseeing all Data related issues at the Core & Distribution layer of the network.
Core network consisted of Cisco 7600 at core, Catalyst 6500/4500 for distribution & catalyst 3750 series for access layer.
I also maintained a dual role as Deputy Operations Director, managing the entire Operations department in the absence of the Operations Director.
The role included people management and required to assign KPI’s to individuals and measure their performances.

Successfully completed the Installation of Layer 3 Foundry Switches for ISTRAC, which is a part of Indian Space Research Organization. Implemented Inter VLAN routing, Access Lists and VRRP features on these switches.
Worked at AOL call center and helped customer’s resolve Internet related issues
