Consultancy contract for ExxonMobilIraq (EMIL) through TPL-EBMT and later through Petrofac TS which were providing training services for ExxonMobil’s project of Competency Assurance of South Oil Company (now Basra Oil Company) staff in West Qurna 1 oil field.
My duties included:
 I was responsible for preparing the Arabic version of the Technical Training Modules which consisted of Word documents (Course Descriptors, Learning Resource Manuals, that can reach 200+ pages, and Assessments) & presentations.
The training covered Oil & Gas related disciplines including Operations, Electrical, Mechanical, Instruments, Work Management System/HSEand First/Second Line Supervisors training program.
 Classroom interpretation between the technical instructor and trainees.
 Translating business letters and correspondences related to the training project and Training Monthly Newsletter and other translation work from English to Arabic and vice versa.
 Administrative tasks like updating the training roadmap progress and training material translation progress.
 Translation QA/QC for the work of translators.

The project was a major extension of Hammar Degassing Station belonging to Zubair oil field which n is operated by ENI.
 Making sure that the work is conducted as per the Drawings & specifications.
 Coaching the junior QA/QC Engineers.
 Making sure that samples are taken the right way and on time.
 Ensuring that all the required inspections & tests are done as per the ITP.
 Supervising and approving the inspections & tests carried out by third party inspector / Lab.
 Making sure that all inspections & tests carried out as per the ITP are well documented and filed.
 Checking all materials to assure their compliance to required specifications & quality.
 Making sure that the sub-contractors have the latest versions of drawings.
 Daily & weekly Reporting including NCRs if any.

My duties were:
 Responding to procurement requests.
 Requesting offers from suppliers.
 Checking suppliers offers compliance technically and administratively.
 Arranging Selection Tables.
 Maintaining a comprehensive Vendor List.
 Assuring procedure compliance to company's financial rules.
 Following up with suppliers through business correspondences to get deliveries in a timely manner.
 Evaluating suppliers performance.

Tenaris is a leading manufacturer/Supplier of tubular products (casing, tubing, accessories, etc.) to Oil & Gas service companies.

Stage 1 - Base construction (May 2011 - December 2012):
In this stage I played a key role, using my Civil Engineering background, in following up the construction of Tenaris base by the contractor in Rumaila.

 Make sure that everybody is putting the right PPE and all works comply with Tenaris HSE standards and that safe work practices are followed.
 Make sure that the quality of work meets Tenaris requirements.
 Make sure no delay in work progress compared to schedule.
 Determine the real percentage of work progress for contractor's payments purposes.
 Sending 2 reports per week to regional management

Stage 2 - Tenaris/Iraq Supply Chain Operations Management (January 2012 - May 2012):
In this stage I played a key role in the successful start up & operation of first Tenaris base in Iraq.
My main work was Management of supply chain process in Iraq in which I successfully performed the following:
 Coordinating with ME regional supply chain office in Dubai concerning shipments and deliveries schedule.
 Making visits to Umm Qasir port from time to time to do vessels discharge surveys and sending Survey Reports to ME regional supply chain management.
 Supervising the work of suppliers and logistics service providers.
 Following up with customers regarding their contracts deliveries.
 HSE management in the base to assure compliance of all operations (including third party contractors operations) in the base with Tenaris HSE standards and safe work practices.
 Management of storage facilities and staff.
 Supervising inventory management and monthly reporting activities.
 Giving training sessions to logistics service provider's staff concerning HSE, Pipes Handling & Transporting, and Storage.

Head of Logistics in Basrah Sub-Delegation/ICRC which was covering southern Iraq operations.
In my job I managed to achieved successfully and efficiently:
1. Logistics staff management:I successfully formed and coached a motivated and disciplined logistics team (13 staff members).
2. Requisition Orders management:
 Responding to ROs.
 Following up correspondences through Lotus Note.
 Handling deliveries documents and
 Keeping a complete and well organized archive of RO files.
3. Purchasing:
 carrying out tendering process according to the organization's rules including:
 Preparing tenders documents.
 Sending requests for offers.
 Preparing selection tables.
 Correspondences to inform unsuccessful and successful bidders.
 Issuing POs or purchasing contracts according to the value of the requested materials or services.
 Checking received items quality and quantity compliance to PO/Contract.
 Market surveys to update prices.
 Evaluating suppliers and keeping a complete well organized PO filing system.
4. Warehousing & Inventory:
 Maintaining accurate database of the different warehouses stock including relief warehouse, WatHab (Engineering) warehouse and Medical warehouse.
 Supervising Incoming and Outgoing deliveries.
 Issuing Packing Lists & Way Bills or Entry Forms.
 Maintaining stock levels.
 Performing inventories and issuing Claim Reports in case of loss or damage.
 Monthly reporting of all stock movements to IQ Delegation Logistic (based in Amman due to security situation).
 Insuring that WH equipment, including Safety& Fire equipment, and stock handling & storage are as per the Organization's standards.
5. Field Supply System software administrator: I efficiently used this software to control the supply chain activities, issuing related documents, tracking stock movements and stock position, and generating statistical reports.
6. AirOps&Travel:
 Receiving travel requests and preparing travel schedule.
 Making flight bookings
 Coordination with Airops regional office in Amman concerning flights schedule.
 Issuing paxlists.
 proforma invoices & packing lists for air cargo.
 Arranging access permits for our vehicles to the airport.
7. Vehicles fleet management (15-35 vehicles different types)&Transportation:
 Supervising the fleet work activities.
 Ensuring fleet compliance to ICRC rules and standards.
 Issuing accident reports and following up legal and insurance procedures.
 Following up the issues of spare parts store inventory with Car Dispatcher.
 Ensuring that service schedule of vehicles and generators is followed strictly.
 Coaching drivers to follow driving safety and road security instructions.
 Organizing transport of deliveries, field movements of ICRC staff members
 Receiving movement requests from other departments and preparing Weekly Movements Plan.
8. External relations: I maintained good relations with Iraqi authorities related to my job like
 Customs authorities.
 Residency office.
 Airport & Port authorities.
9. In the 6 yearly appraisals I received 4 VERY GOOD appraisals including the last one of 2009.

 Planning work activities and follow up to meet deadlines.
 Making sure of work compliance to drawings and specifications.
