The WPE Social Worker responds to reported incidents of gender-based violence (GBV) in a timely, compassionate and caring manner in order that survivors can receive quality holistic and appropriate health, legal and psychosocial care and support. The Social Worker also assists in raising awareness of the community to prevent further gender-based violence from happening. The Social Worker works with survivors of GBV, community partners such as women’s groups, service providers and local authorities. In addition the social worker will provide case management for women and girls in non-GBV cases.
