o Troubleshoot printing problems, and Network printing.
o Configure user logins/profiles, E-mail accounts and workstations in accordance with KA standards.
o Implement Anti-Virus strategies as in the IT policy and give support to the end user.
o Prepare checklists and tips, electronic and paper, for repetitive HelpDesk tasks.
o Implement the plan for HelpDesk tasks during academic member vacations to improve and update their IT related equipment, taking into account their needs and suggestions.
o Implement the plan for updating the hardware of PC’s.
o Help and Assist Users to Back up their data when needed.
o Cooperate and help other sections in our department when needed.
o Make a periodic maintenance to our I.T related equipment such as (printers, scanners, …) usually with one of the vendors technician guys.
o Assist and provide help to KA guests during their accommodation in KA.
o Prepare new tablets and laptops -also some PC’s- to be ready for use by students, faculty, and staff every year with all updated and new versions of operating systems, applications and programs.

o Distribute the tablets and laptops at the beginning of the year to the students, faculty, and some staff, also guide and assist them how to use these tablets and laptops by a brief and quick orientation.
o Prepare the list of all serials of tablets and laptops, and entry it into special system related to us (share-point) to retrieve it quickly when needed
o Receive the tablets and laptops at the end of the year from students, faculty, and some staff, provide help if they need to backed-up their data.
o Check the returned (tablets / laptops) and maintain the damaged ones in cooperation with vendors.
o Assist staff with local and network applications, converting files from other applications, unzipping and decoding, formatted E-mail attachments and provide any programs that might be needed by end-users.
o Send weekly report to the IT Support Manager and the IT director about the main and important issues that happened within the last week.
o Cooperate with Security department in some cases such as lost and found items.
o Provide help, support, and solutions when needed on the “personal laptops” for some staff, faculty, and students
o Provide help and support on the CISCO phones.
o Testing new software or hardware - if requested - before using it on the machines.
o Responsible for IT Purchase orders, and cooperate with vendors for maintenance and warranty and contracts.

• Monitoring Company Data Base System for any emergency failure, problem, or missing parameters or functions. And first line support for such cases.

• Make and prepare Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly plans, reports, and summaries for site progress from the Data Base.

• Serving other departments by support them with any Data Base and Information they need and customize their own Data Base field on the system according to their demands.

• Send and Receive reports to/from Main-Contractors and Sub-Contractors about some specific work should be done at site.

• Some other assigned office tasks. (maintenance, networks, grant/revoke privileges, create/delete users and accounts, and controlling technical Equipments and monitoring their performance).

Customer Care (Call center and Support) for web sites projects (e.g. Aljazeera net, Aspire Academy) in the iHorizons Company for media and information;

The work consists of four parts:
A. Monitoring Sites and Servers for any emergency failure, problem, bad Links, or site unavailable. And first line support for such cases.
B. Serving online sites, web servers and hosts, and sites services.
C. Serving clients problems on the site publishing systems for every site project and work to solve it.
D. Little working on Database using some SQL commands.

And Helpdesk includes the following service management functions (SMFs):
• Service Desk.
• Incident Management.
• On-Site Support.
