• Ensure adequate review of contracting strategies to ensure the legal requirements and aspirations of the national content policy are considered including unbundling of contracts to the extent feasible.
• Ensure adequate review of annual procurement plans submitted by oil companies.
• Coordinate the review of quarterly and annual reports submitted by IOCs on contracts for works, goods and services in the Oil and Gas Sector.
• Coordinate the review of quarterly and annual procurement reports.
• Prepare quarterly updates on the procurements of works, goods and services in the oil and gas sector.
• Prepare quarterly compliance reports in the area of procurement
• Coordinate audits of the procurement processes by the Oil Companies
• Ensure bidder complaints are efficiently handled.
• Ensure up-to-date record of contracts for goods, works and services entered into is maintained.
• Coordinate the development of guidelines on procurement in the Oil and Gas Sector.
• Support the development and administration of the NSD to ensure it evolves as envisaged in the law and design report.
• Ensure adequate monitoring of value addition efforts arising from procurements in the sector
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
o Plan the delivery of the projects on going
o Plan, coordinate, control and manage all project
activities to ensure that works being executed are as
per the design drawings.
o Report progress on projects, maintain and update
project reporting, checkpoints and reporting to a high
standard.
o Plan and arrange visits to existing and new potential
clients, ensuring every client receives sufficient
support to enhance their relationships.
o Develop contacts with senior staff, directors, and
other influential staff within each account during the
implementation phase.
o Produce reports on each project at agreed intervals,
and whenever substantive actions are required.
o Plan the delivery of the project at hand
o Manage the day-to-day working, utilization,
implementation and technical consultants engaged on
client assignments. From ensuring, the correct material
turns up before a job, to explaining the work ethics and
activities to colleagues.
o Report progress on projects by suitable media to sector
management, maintenance and update project reporting,
checkpoints and reporting to a high standard.
o Plan and arrange visits to existing and new potential
clients, ensuring every client receives sufficient
support to enhance their relationships.
o Develop contacts with senior staff, directors, and
other influential staff within each account during the
implementation phase.
o Co-ordinate required support levels and training.
o Produce reports on each project at agreed intervals,
and whenever substantive actions are required.
